Genesis 18

Abraham was the heir of his father Terah who was the son of Nahor and a descendant of one of Shem's five son Arpachshad. Terah is mentioned in Genesis 11:26–27, Book of Joshua 24:2, and 1 Chronicles 1:17–27 of the Hebrew Bible and Luke 3:34–36.
Abram had left Ur and also Haran which were city states. He also avoided other city-states like Sodom and Gomorrah and divided himself and his altars from the Turtledove and its goddess of the welfare state.
What was he doing and why was he able to defeat whole armies that had just conquered these city State governments when he was neither a king nor ruler?
What was Abraham really doing?
Did he form a free "Polis" through a network of Altars of freewill sacrifice that strengthen the bands of a free society by nurturing the social bonds through the voluntary practice of pure Religion?

The plains[1] of Mamre(מַמְרֵ֑א):[2]

New American Standard Bible (NASB) translates בְּאֵלֹנֵ֖י (be'elonei) as "to him by the oaks" instead of plains. The term Memreh מַמְרֵ֑א (mamre) could be a place, or an ally of Abraham as some will tell us. Mamre= "strength" or "fatness" and without the double Mem it could mean rebellious mara מָרָא.[3]

Job 39:9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?... 18 What time she lifteth up <04754> herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider."

Zephaniah 3:1 "Woe to her that is filthy <04754> and polluted, to the oppressing city!"

Why is a single Mem in mara filthy and rebellious and related to "the oppressive city" or city of blood?
In Genesis 13 we see Abram had built an altar in place described in the same way. :18 "Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth (oak) trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD." NKJV
in Genesis 12 we see a similar description in :6 "Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land." NKJV
Is this Moreh מוֹרֶ֑ה (mōwreh) another place? These same letters produce Hebrew words said to mean "an archer, teacher, teaching, the early rain".
Or is this Memreh מַמְרֵ֑א (mamre) mean the "teacher, teaching" without the double Mem?
"Jewish tradition adds that this visit was made to Abraham on the third day after the rite had been performed, and was for the purpose of healing him from the painful consequences of it." Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers

V1 "And the LORD appeared" and V2 "And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood".
V10 "I will surely שֹׁ֣וב (shob) אָשׁ֤וּב (ashuvb)" Repeating the word shuwb (ShinVavBeit)[8] is what makes it certain.
Summary
Abraham had left the city-states of Nimrod and the gods many who make men merchandise and curse children through their tables of civil welfare and legal charity which are a snare.
Sodom and Gomorrah were the cities of Blood created like the civil cauldrons created by the consent of the people who are willing to bind themselves in those flesh pots of consent which are the one purse systems that Proverbs 1:10 warns about.
The people who have an appetite for benefits become the masses who go under tribute because they are slothful in the way of God and Christ. If you are under tribute you have likely been snared back into the bondage of Egypt.
According to David and Paul it was the civil tables created for the welfare of the people that was actually a snare and a trap. Because it was fundamentally a covetous practice it made the people merchandise according to Peter which we would call Human resources.

Questions
What did Sodom's systems of social welfare have in common with the leaven of Herod and the Pharisees and the system of Corban they created?.
What was the difference between their Corban and the Corban of Christ and Moses?
Should we assume the "Lord" (אֲדֹנָ֗י adonai)[9] was the same as the LORD(יְהוָֹה‎ YodHeyVavHey Yëhovah)[10] who appeared to Abraham as he walked in spirit and truth?
Were these conversations in the heart of Abraham with YHWH the reason he recognized the divine spark in these three men who Abraham calls "my Lord"?
In Genesis 19 Lot recognizes these men also and we must ask why?
How many righteous men will they find in Sodom?

Plains of Mamre appearance

1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains(by the oaks)[1] of Mamre:[2] and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood (נִצָּבִ֖ים nitzavim NunTzadikBeitYodMem)[4] by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3 And said, My Lord (אֲדֹנָ֗י adonai)[9], if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

Abraham hastened

6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

They did eat

8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Where is Sarah

9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Sarah denied

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

Looked toward Sodom

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

The LORD reveals

17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

The cry of Sodom

20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous[11];

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

The men turned

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

Righteous with the wicked

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Fifty

26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

Thirty

30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

Twenty

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

Ten

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

  11. The sin the Sodom
Genesis 18:20 "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;..."
Genesis 13:13 “‭13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.”
Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."
Genesis 14:21-23 "And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. 22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, 23 That I will not [take] from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that [is] thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
Deuteronomy 32:31-33 “‭31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. ‭32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: ‭33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.”
Isaiah 1:9-19 “‭9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. ‭10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. ‭11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. ‭12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? ‭13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. ‭15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. ‭16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; ‭17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. ‭18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. ‭19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:”
Isaiah 3:8-9 “‭8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory. ‭9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.”
Jeremiah 23:14 “‭14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.”
Lamentations 4:5-10 “‭5 They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. ‭6 For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her. ‭7 Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire: ‭8 Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. ‭9 They that be slain with the sword are better than they that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field. ‭10 The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
Jude 1:7-8 “‭7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ‭8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.”
