Mystery Babylon
What Babylon
A question arises "What is Babylon?" And with an honest examination it is answered with an in-depth study of Cain's first city State, Nimrod's Babylon, Pharaoh's treasure cities and even with Caesar's Rome.
All these systems provided for the welfare of the people in a way that made them subject to the state and weak. They brought the people into bondage making them merchandise, property of the state and would also curse children for generations.
The mystery
The Mystery of Babylon is the secret of how men are brought into bondage to systems of governments of men like Cain, Nimrod, the Fathers of the earth, and other Benefactors who exercise authority one over the and through covetous practices and willingness to appease their wantonness at the expense of others.
The ancient power of rulers who offer their dainties at the expense of liberty is evident throughout history according to Proverbs and Plutarch. It is what they offer upon their civil tables that should have been for their welfare but becomes a snare for the masses which makes men subject and little more than merchandise but also curses the next generation with the Bondage of Egypt.
The appetite for benefits at the expense of others alters the people and their own thinking such that the voice of the people fail to see that they are degenerating again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch. The truth that they are Babylon is a mystery but revealed only to those who will hear the truth in their hearts and minds which brings us to the question:
- "Are men the property of the state? Or are they free souls under God? This same battle continues throughout the world?" Cecil B. DeMille in "The Ten Commandments."
If man is the property of the State this would bring us to an even more important question.
What is Redemption?
Redemption
- "Redemption is deliverance from the power of an alien dominion and the enjoyment of the resulting freedom. It involves the idea of restoration to one who possesses a more fundamental right or interest. The best example of redemption in the Old Testament was the deliverance of the children of Israel from bondage, from the dominion of the alien power in Egypt." Zondervan's Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible, the word "redemption"
Secret sabbath
The ways of Babylon were and are to take your "rest" and then owe thy work, your labor... this is opposed to the precept of the Sabbath which is to do the work first and then receive the reward of your efforts.
The Sabbath is about avoiding debt from taking benefits from alien powers and their gods many spoken of by Paul. The Sabbath is about The Way not about a day.
- "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute." Proverbs 12:24
We see this in Revelation 18:4 "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, ..." This is not just being called out of sin but being called out of the sin of Babylon.
Babylon is an assembly too, like the one purse of Proverbs.
God calls men out to be Believers and to do according to His way as we see from the beginning:
- "And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do." Exodus 18:20
One of those laws is that thou shall not covet.
"This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John." Acts 18:25
Ideally, God instructs the people for no man should have to teach his brother for all shall know the Father.
This means that we must see and hear the truth when we are shown and told it. This only possible if it is already written on our hearts and minds.[11]

The Way back
To bring a nation into bondage you must first break the social bonds required to have and maintain a free society.
It is not enough for evil to encroach upon mankind and his rights to bring a people into bondage or subjection.
But the one "who has an evil eye" must sear your conscience through a wantonness for the dainties of rulers and the reward of unrighteousness so that you are willing to encroach upon the rights others and become accustomed to it.
This is the process by which man is brought back into the bondage of Egypt and Mystery Babylon becoming merchandise until you curse children.
"The masses continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence; and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." Polybius
The only way back to freedom is a return to the perfect law of liberty which is to repent of our "covetous practices" and seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

- ↑ "Civil law stems from Babylon and is inquisitorial, encouraging and requiring the state's violation of one's freedom of conscience. This ever-present trait arises from the Babylonian system's dependence upon the priest's judicial power to examine its subjects in the Babylonian deity's name. In theory, the Babylonian deity, using various names worldwide and personified in the state or its demagogue, invested his priests with the power to examine the consciences of devotees by whatever means necessary, granting absolution or condemnation according to their imperious pleasure. By entrusting themselves to a totalitarian state, the Babylonian settlers established statism."
