Isaiah 6

Isaiah, the Evangelical Prophet, with variety of prophecies concerning the permanent kingdom of the Messiah. His numerous predictions seem to speak to the mission and character of Jesus Christ of the New Testament and predict his Divine essence if we will understand the text.

The Isaiah scroll (1QIsa a), is the only direct ancient witness of the Hebrew text of Isaiah 6:13 which displays משלכת instead of בשלכת, and במה instead of בם. The clause בשלכת אשר בם מצבת where translations and commentaries suggest that שלכת offers a sense of trees “being felled”, and מצבת as a “stump” remaining.

The Revised Standard Version is an English translation of the Bible published in 1952 by the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA. translates the Hebrew as "And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains standing when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump." The RSV also present a controversy with Isaiah 7:14 and its handling of "almah" (עַלְמָה) as "young woman" instead of "virgin".
Isaiah 1:30, is reminding the people, “For you (i.e. rebels and sinners) shall be like an oak whose leaf withers, and like a garden without water”. The Smoking furnace that withers the heart of the masses makes dry bones of the people.^[2]

11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
