People often need help.
Food Stamps can help people in alleviating real need and hunger but is it the best way we should aid the needy of society?
If we examine the ancient means and methods used throughout history to provide tables[1] of welfare[2] to help and aid the people are there caveats and warning found in their successes and failures?
Are there long term consequences determined by those means and method of aiding the needy of society.
Food Stamps can be harmful too.
- It can enable sloth weakening members of society.
- And it is not really a form of charity that brings society together.
We must also see that SNAP is not true charity but is just redistribution of wealth by men who like to call themselves charitable Benefactors but are just exercising authority within a certain type of society that may be weakening society.
Historians wrote about the destruction of Rome was due to the free bread. The warnings came before, during, and after it's deline and fall.
The Bible tells us there are tables[1] that should be for our welfare but are snare.[2]
There are many warnings about consenting to having one purse that run towards death like the cities of blood.[3]

Are these modern systems of welfare undermining the nature of society like the free Bread and circuses?
Why did Jesus who was not a socialist say the Corban of Pharisees make the word of God to none effect?
Welfare or loving your neighbor and helping the poor has been a major topic of society and therefore both Old and New Testament.
The conflict between the two types of Welfare has been a major source of dispute within societies for centuries.

Madness in their Method
A thoughtful look at Welfare types and why the type, means and method of aid to the needy of society matters is essential to avoid a loss of liberty and encroachment of tyranny. When masses become dependent upon the covetous practices of "legal charity" there is to often a monster of madness born in the darkness of the means and method accepted in civil society whose conscience has been seared by a desire for benefits at the expense of their neighbor and their neighbors' children.
The Fatal flaw of Sodom
"Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy." Ezekiel 16:49
A welfare state is a concept of government in which the members of the state are dependent upon the protection of the State. The State is expected to be the source of the promotion of the economic and social well-being of its citizens as subjects.
It is often first based on the principles of equality of opportunity but often degenerates to the point of expecting an equality of outcome. To achieve an equitable distribution of wealth they create institutions of "force and violence". Such governments claim a public responsibility for those unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life for what ever reason.
The general term of "social welfare" may cover a variety of forms of economic and social organization.
The sociologist T.H. Marshall identified the welfare state as a distinctive combination of democracy, welfare, and capitalism."
Karl Marx was very much in favor of democracy because it leads to socialism and socialism leads to communism. Many will tell you that communism works in theory and it does if you include the true nature of man and understand point in the fatal sequence dictated by human nature.
But always reduces the masses to a stat where the social bonds of society are dissolved and the crowd becomes a mob of perfect savages.
Karl's lust for power was only surpassed by his unforgiving impatience so he opposed piecemeal reforms proclaiming to the Communist League, after the failed revolution of 1848, "that measures designed to increase wages, improve working conditions, and provide social insurance were merely bribes that would only temporarily make the situation of working classes tolerable and in the long run would weaken the revolutionary consciousness needed to achieve a socialist economy."
What he could never see was that the element of the world that led to abundance would begin to erode the heart and mind of society if they were not required by circumstance to provide for the needy.
The Cycle of Sin
Any institution, policy, or practice of society that robbed the citizenry of the daily responsibility of the people to attend to the weightier matters of society would lead to decay and degeneration and ultimate failure of society.

The polity of "nations" is said to always progress through the Tytler Cycle from liberty to a "Fatal Sequence" of events:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage." [4]
In that Fatal Sequence of this "Tytler Cycle" there is a rejection of the Divine Will of the God of Nature.
Moses and Jesus both said we were to love our neighbor as ourselves while not coveting our neighbors goods, especially through men who exercise authority one over the other. Nor were we to take oaths nor make covenants that would bind us or do any thing that would return us to the bondage of Egypt.
Modern pocket picking
"The welfare state involves a transfer of funds from the state, to the services provided (e.g. healthcare, education) as well as directly to individuals ("benefits"). It is funded through redistributionist taxation and is often referred to as a type of "mixed economy." Such taxation usually includes a larger income tax for people with higher incomes, called a progressive tax. This helps to reduce the income gap between the rich and poor."[5]

In the kingdom of God you have the right to choose and are forbidden from forcing your neighbor to give to you for what you want.
Social bonds
- "Early conservatives, under the influence of Malthus, opposed every form of social insurance "root and branch", arguing, as economist Brad DeLong put it: "make the poor richer, and they would become more fertile. As a result, farm sizes would drop (as land was divided among ever more children), labor productivity would fall, and the poor would become even poorer. Social insurance was not just pointless; it was counter-productive."
Malthus, a clergyman, for whom birth control was anathema, believed that the poor needed to learn the hard way to practice frugality, self-control, and chastity."
Chastity was not bearing fruit. The kingdom was taken from the pharisees in part because they did not bear fruit.
If Malthus understood the kingdom, that God is a capitalist and Jesus was not a socialist he might have taught the people to tend to the weightier matters.
There was also the matter of the Corban of the Pharisees and Herod which was full of leaven and "making the word of God to none effect".
We need to know why which Malthus did not.

The degeneration of the social bonds and the family alway accompanies the implementation of the Welfare state.

We see that as the deep state.

Entitlement without moral criteria
There has been a suggestion that it is a lie that Black Americans are the predominant recipients of welfare like SNAPS by pointing out that most people on the program are White at about 40% and only 25% are Black. But is this also a deception and what insight may we learn if we step back and examine the big picture which is bringing a divide.
White Americans are the racial majority in America, with a 77.7% share of the U.S. population yet they only get 40% of these benefits. African Americans are the largest racial minority, amounting to only 13.2% of the population. Yet they get 25% of these benefits?? So statistically they are more likely to be taking benefits. But why is that?
"More than 72 percent of children in the African-American community are born out of wedlock." It used to be less than 5 percent. What is changing this in the black community? This has been caused by numerous factors but a main cause is welfare managed as an entitlement without moral criteria.
People need to repent and seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and start tending to the Weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith which include caring for the needs of our neighbors and the widows and orphans of our society through Pure Religion in matters of health, education, and welfare. We are NOT to provide for the needy of society through the Covetous Practices and the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other like the socialists do.
The Way of Christ was like neither the way of the world of Rome nor the governments of the gentiles who depend on those fathers of the earth through force, fear and fealty who deliver the people back in bondage again like they were in Egypt. Christ's ministers and true Christians do not depend upon systems of social welfare that force the contributions of the people like the corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect. Many people have been deceived to go the way of Balaam and the Nicolaitan and out of The Way of Christ and have become workers of iniquity.
The Christian conflict with Rome in the first century Church appointed by Christ was because they would not apply to the fathers of the earth for their free bread but instead relied upon a voluntary network providing a daily ministration to the needy of society through Faith, Hope, and Charity by way of freewill offerings of the people, for the people, and by the people through the perfect law of liberty in Free Assemblies according to the ancient pattern of Tuns or Tens as He commanded.
The modern Christians are in need of repentance.

These are the systems of legal charity that provide a social welfare through governments that exercise authority one over the other entangling the masses in covetous practices which is a trap and a snare and makes the word of God to none effect.
