1V What did Jesus mean by shall not taste[1] of death[2], till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.[3] |
2V Three in Twelve “In the council of the community there shall be twelve men and three priests.” Dead Sea Scrolls, Essene Community Rule (1QS) 8.1-4 [4] |
Then we must asks what is the roll of a priest? Are there more than one kind of priesthood? Both require some form of fasting and sacrifice. Both kinds priests are an office of one form of government or another. One kind of priest will tickle the ears of the people while riding the back of a beast[5] and delivering the people into bondage as the harlot church of Babylon. The other priests of Christ believe in the way of Christ as servants of righteousness. They can be identified by the means and methods of their position. One form sets the captive free and the other bring them into bondage? Both provide for the needy of society through what can be called religion. One system is Pure Religion and the other is Public religion. One is a system of faith, hope, and charity requiring love and freewill offerings and the other is a system of of force, fear, and fealty, requiring allegiance and obedience. One gives liberty of choice and the other offers dainties from rulers which are a great destroyer of liberty. |
4V Why Elias[6] and Moses? What did they talk about? |
Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible states "the Syriac, Arabic, and Ethiopic versions read, "and we will make", &c. expressing not a petition, but a resolution; to which the Persic version premises, "if thou wilt give us commandment"; submitting it to the will of Christ:" |
7V "a cloud"[7] from which a voice came out ... like the cloud or "nephele" led the Israelites when they were learning to be the church in the wilderness |
V9 Jesus charged them not tell other men. |
11-13V Jesus stated that ...Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him... |
14-16V Jesus demanded [8] the scribes explain why they were questioning[9] the multitude. |
17-29V Jesus deals with a dumb[10] and deaf[11] spirit that His disciples were not able to cast out. Jesus reveals that This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer[12] and fasting[13]. Fasting is evidently not just abstaining from food.[14] |
We should note that the father believed but also needed help with His unbelief. Many who profess to be Christians only have faith in a Christian type ideology while others have some faith in Jesus but do not fully know him and must both repent and fast from ideologies of false religion that encourage covetous practices which is idolatry.[15] |
Questions |
What is Mystery Babylon? And who are its priests? What is the "city[16] and tower[17]" of Babel we see in Genesis 11 really all about? If we understand what Nimrod was doing will we then understand what Mystery Babylon means in Revelation 18? Is Babylon a republic or a democracy or even a socialist democracy? Was "city[16] and tower[17]" like Babylon a civil law system set up by men like Nimrod, Caesar, Herod, and FDR?[18] What was the meaning of the phrase city of blood spoken of by Jeremiah[19], Ezekiel[20], Hosea[21], Nahum[22], Habakkuk[23], and even Revelation.[24]? The Babylonian system was a "One purse" system based on the "covetous practices" of "legal charity" leading to socialism with Nimrod's officers of his welfare state as the Benefactors of society. The way society "mingles" or "entangles" itself in the "elements" of the "world" relates to the way the masses provide Social welfare, which may degenerate them into perfect savages through becoming accustomed to the covetous practices of the world. Nimrod's city and tower was to provide protection in the form of a "social security" system that would make the people merchandise, returning them to the bondage of Egypt. |
If Modern Christians were following The Way of the real Jesus who was the Christ of the Kingdom of God as true believers would the world be headed toward destruction? |
What was the Golden calf? |
What was the red heifer really about? |
What was the Leaven of Herod and the Pharisees? |
35v Desire to be first is the desire to put yourself before others.[25] |
Do you honour your father and mother?[26] |
Why are the foolish virgins called foolish? |
What is the works of iniquity?[27] |
Are you seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness or do you wrap yourself in the security of the covetous practices which offer you the wages of unrighteousness. |
What is the error of Ballaam and the Nicolaitan.[28] |
What are the cities of blood?[29] |
What does this have to do have do with FDR and LBJ to say nothing of the New Deal and the Great Society? |
What does this have to do with the Golden calf and the Federal Reserve? |
Are you ready to repent and start seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness by sitting down in the tens to become the living stones and altars of God? |
Tasting death
[1] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death[2], till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.[3]
The Transfiguration
[2] And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John[4], and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured[30] before them.
[3] And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
[4] And there appeared unto them Elias[6] with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
[5] And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
[6] For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
Voice from the cloud
[7] And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
[8] And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
Rising from death
[9] And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
[10] And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
Elias first
[11] And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
[12] And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
[13] But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
Scribes question the multitude
[14] And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
[15] And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
[16] And he asked[8] the scribes, What question[9] ye with them?
Jesus Heals a Boy
[17] And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb[10] spirit;
[18] And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
Faithless generation
[19] He answereth him, and saith, O faithless[31] generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
[20] And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
Asked father
[21] And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
[22] And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
[23] Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Help me with unbelief
[24] And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
[25] When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked[32]the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
[26] And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
[27] But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
Disciples asked privately
[28] And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
[29] And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.[14]
Moved secretly through Galilee
[30] And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
Jesus Again Foretells Death, Resurrection
[31] For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
[32] But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
Disputed along the way secretly
[33] And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
[34] But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
Precepts
[35] And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.[33]
[36] And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
[37] Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name[34], receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
[38] And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
Anyone Not Against Us Is for Us
[39] But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
[40] For he that is not against us is on our part.
[41] For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Temptations to Sin
[42] And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
[43] And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
[44] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
[46] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[47] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
[48] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[49] For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
[50] Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

- Psalms 141:4 "Incline not my heart to [any] evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work <06466> iniquity <0205>: and let me not eat of their dainties. 9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity."
- Proverbs 10:29 "The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
- Proverbs 21:15 "It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity."
- Proverbs 30:20 "Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done <06466> no wickedness <0205>.
- Isaiah 31:2 "Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil<07451רַע>, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers <07489רָעַע>, and against the help of them that work <06466> iniquity <0205>.

- Luke 13:25-27 “25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out.”

- Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
- ↑ The way of error
- 2 Peter 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam [the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
- Jude 1:11 "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots(not "unspotted" like Pure Religion) in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds [they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;"
- Revelation 2:14-17 "But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication ("to permit one’s self to be drawn away by another into idolatry"). 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it]."
- Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."
- The way of the world is the way of Cain and His city-state, the Corban of the Pharisees and the cities of blood, Nimrod and the Nicolaitan, Babylon and Balaam, Sumer and Sodom, Pharaoh and the foolishness of Saul, and more recently FDR and LBJ and all the welfare States who use legal charity which is not The Way of Christ, the Kingdom of God nor the righteousness of God.
- ↑ Cities of blood
- Exodus 16:3 "And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, [and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger."
- Genesis 11:4 "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."
- Jeremiah 26:15 "But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears."
- Isaiah 45:13 "I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts."
- Ezekiel 11:3 "Which say, [It is] not near; let us build houses: this [city is] the caldron, and we [be] the flesh."
- Ezekiel 7:23 "Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence."
- Ezekiel 9:9 "Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah [is] exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not."
- Ezekiel 22:2 "Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations. 3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself."
- Ezekiel 24:6 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum [is] therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it... 9 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great."
- Hosea 6:8 "Gilead [is] a city of them that work iniquity, [and is] polluted with blood."
- Habakkuk 2:8 “Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein... 12 Woe to him that buildeth a 'town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!”
- The frequent reference to cities of blood, flesh pots, and a civil cauldron (i.e. One purse) often is associated with a "harlot in the city" as we saw in Amos 7:17. but in Nahum 3:4 it says she "selleth nations through her whoredoms". These are the systems of legal charity that provide a social welfare through governments that exercise authority one over the other entangling the masses in covetous practices which is a trap and a snare and makes the word of God to none effect.

- Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
- 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed <3339> into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
- Exodus 34:29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.... 35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him."

- ↑ Heirs of service
- The hierarchy of the kingdom of God does not go up by steps nor exercise authority one over the other but come as he that serves:
- Matthew 20:27 "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."
- Matthew 23:9 "And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, [even] Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."
- Luke 22:26 "But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. 27 For whether [is] greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth."
- Mark 9:35 "And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, [the same] shall be last of all, and servant of all."

- Acts 9:15 "But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:"

- Malachi 2:2 "If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings<01293>: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart."
