Leprosy

The verb leper צָרַע TzadikReishAyin, is (Strong’s 06879)[1] describes the condition of becoming stricken with ṣāraat, commonly rendered “leper” or "leprous" in English versions.

This word leper צָרַע is the root of the word צִרְעָה (tzir‘ah) which is said to be a stinging flying insect like a hornet.

What does it mean to add a Hey (ה) to an existing word?[2]

The Hebrew letter Hey (ה), when placed at the end of a word, may serve several important functions:

Besides merely adding a vowel sound may help in the pronunciation of a word. More commonly it will act as a marker of the syntax for third-person feminine singular genitive. This means it can indicate possession similar to the use of apostrophes to show ownership.

Send in the Hornets

"LORD thy God will send the hornet".

We are told that צִרְעָה (tzir‘ah) denotes a stinging flying insect like a hornet and that insect is employed by God according to scripture as an agent of judgment and displacement against the pagan nations inhabiting Canaan.

We are also told that each of these occurrences presents the hornet as an insect that comes "as a deliberate extension" of the Lord’s covenant of faithfulness to Israel.

But the word translated may not have anything to do with flying or stinging insects. But whatever is sent seem to have the ability to "drive out" the Hivite[3], the Canaanite[4], and the Hittite [5].

Exodus 23:28 "And I will send hornets <06880(הַצִּרְעָ֖ה> (צִרְעָה‎ ))[6] before thee[7], which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee."
Deuteronomy 7:20 "Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet <06880>(הַצִּרְעָ֔ה)[6] among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.[8]"
Joshua 24:12 And I sent the hornet <06880>(הַצִּרְעָ֔ה)[6] before you, which drave(וַתְּגָ֤רֶשׁ) them out from before you(מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם), [even] the two kings of the Amorites; [but] not with thy sword(בְחַרְבְּךָ֖), nor with thy bow(בְקַשְׁתֶּֽךָ׃).[9]

The three occurrences of this word suggest whatever it represents it is able to drive out and destroy the inhabitants but not with a sword or a bow.

Words are symbols

Words are symbols of ideas and Hebrew letter are also symbols of ideas. Just as many scholars over the centuries do not believe the word Leprosy in Leviticus 13 does not mean the modern Hansen's skin disease nor the disease Leprosy we see during the time of Jesus and the New Testament.

We see in Exodus 23 whatever is sent by God which is called hornets[6] may be like the leprosy[10] of Leviticus in that it is contagious but ideas are contagious.

Is there an idea or mood and spirit that is spread amongst the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite that will have an effect upon the people that will be an aid to Israel when they come into the land?

Will it weaken and degenerate the citizenry but not with their sword <02719>, nor with thy bow <07198>?

The term פָנִים (pānîm) translated before thee occurs more than two thousand times across the Old Testament and moves fluidly between the concrete and the theological.

Whether denoting a human face, the visible manifestation of emotion, personal presence, or the very nearness of God Himself, pānîm links relational intimacy with covenantal responsibility.[11], which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee."[12]

Hivite spirit

The Hivite,[13] who or what are they.

God "promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt to the land of the Canaanites… the Hivites, and the Jebusites” (Exodus 3:17).

In Genesis 34 had narrated the violation of Dinah by Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, revealing the moral climate that led to genocide by the sons of Jacob. That unjust revenge lead them to the bondage of Egypt which was a mercy.

The consequence of their sin of revenge could have been much worse but for Jacob's repentance and rejection of Idolatry and his faithful building of the Altar of Bethel as Israel.

The Gibeonite Hivites secured a treaty through subterfuge in Joshua 9. They are consistently named among the seven nations of Canaan.[14] Genesis 10:17 lists them as descendants of Canaan, establishing their lineage within the Hamitic branch and explaining why they occupied the Promised Land prior to Israel.

The term Hivite includes the idea of deceptive covenants. The Gibeonite Hivites secured a treaty through subterfuge in Joshua 9. Israel’s leaders, having failed to seek divine counsel, were bound by oath: “The men of Israel said to the Hivites, ‘Perhaps you dwell among us; so how can we make a treaty with you?’” (Joshua 9:7).

  • Exodus 23:28 "And I will send <07971> (8804) hornets <06880> before <06440> thee, which shall drive out <01644> (8765) the Hivite(הַחִוִּ֧י אֶת־)[15] <02340>, the Canaanite (הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֛י אֶת־)<03669>, and the Hittite (הַחִתִּ֖י וְאֶת־)<02850>, from before <06440> thee.

The nature of Canaan[14] was a bloody system that reduced men to human resources through the covetous practices of Idolatry.[16] The episodes of the history of Israel and the Hivites not elevates the sanctity of vows and the necessity of prayerful discernment but also the dangers of cultures that accept the idea that lying is acceptable.

Leprosy

There are several words that are similar to הַצִּרְעָ֖ה tsir‘ah (HeyTzadikReishAyinHey) such as the root word צָרַע‎ tsara‘[1] said to possibly represent a skin disease that could be identified as leprosy.

Zorah

The identical letters of for the word hornet הַצִּרְעָ֖ה tsir‘ah are the same letters in the Hebrew word צָרְעָה Zorah which stood on the border of the Shephelah and the foothills of the Judean highlands, opposite the Sorek Valley and approximately twenty miles west of Jerusalem.

In the Old Testament, Zorah is primarily representative of divine intervention and deliverance, serving as the birthplace of Samson, the Nazirite judge who began the liberation of Israel from Philistine oppression. Its significance is further anchored by its association with Manoah, Samson’s father, whose barren wife received an angelic announcement of a miraculous birth, highlighting God’s power to overcome human weakness.

Although originally allotted to Judah (Joshua 15:33), it also appears in the inheritance of Dan (Joshua 19:41), illustrating the overlapping territorial claims between these tribes. Closely linked with nearby Eshtaol (אֶשְׁתָּאֹל), the two towns are repeatedly paired in Scripture, forming a small sub-district that influenced important events in Israel’s early history.

Zorites Zareathites Zorathites

The inclusion of Zorites (הַצָּרְעִֽי)[17], Zareathites(הַצָּ֣רְעָתִ֔י)[18] , and Zorathites (הַצָּֽרְעָתִֽי)[19] in Scripture carries significant implicit spiritual meaning regarding God’s view of faithfulness.

How is the word Zorites (הַצָּרְעִֽי) related to the idea of Leprosy or hornets?

Is God sending hornets into into the country to sting people or is God preparing the land and the people of the land for the way of the Lord?

The primary conflict between Israel and the cities of blood found in the world:

  1. In Israel they funded their systems of social care for the needy of their society through charity. It was provided by freewill offerings on their altars of clay and stone.
  2. The cities of the world of rulers provides benefits and dainties on their civil tables that should be for your welfare but are also the snare and trap of cities like Egypt, Sodom, Sumer, and Babylon.

The name of the Eshtaolites (וְהָאֶשְׁתָּ֖אֻֽלִֽי), who were supposedly inhabitants of some place named Eshtaol. But its Hebrew letters and its biblical context carry a profound spiritual meaning directly related to faithfulness through supplication and divine empowerment.

While there may be a practical side to these instruction abot leprosy and hornet, there is always layers of meaning that may be seen in Hebrew words of the Bible with a deeper meaning which transcends the physical and the term leprosy appears to be one of those words with a deeper spiritual meaning.

Leprosy[10] from the word Tzara'at (צָרַעַת) consists of at least four letters TzadikReishAyinTav and is often said to be mistranslated as “leprosy”.[20]

Is this word translated Leprosy[10] a metaphor for a condition of the heart and mind that warns us or precedes the decay of the soul?

“A sick thought can devour the body's flesh more than fever or consumption.”[21]

Contaminations

"צָרַעַת (tsaraath) designates an array of divinely diagnosed contaminations that could afflict skin[22] same as owr, to bare[23] or uwr 'to awaken or stir up[24]; clothing(בֶּגֶד)[25] same as בֶּגֶד bagad to act treacherously, deceitfully[26], and even houses[27]same as that which within.

In the Hebrew Scriptures the letters עוֹר AyinVavReish which wee see translated skin[22] may denote the external covering that encases flesh which contains the living soul.

When something is wrong on the inside we may see evidence coming out of the man even through his skin.

About ninety-nine occurrences trace a line from Eden to Ezekiel, showing how God employs the humble “skin” both literally and theologically: as a sign of fallen nature and figurative frailty of humanity.

In Ezekiel’s valley of dry bones we see part of the climaxes of the restoration of life is with a skin given us by God: “I will attach tendons to you and make flesh grow upon you and cover you with skin” (Ezekiel 37:6, 8).

Job 19:26 sites that, "And [though] after my skin [worms] destroy this [body], yet in my flesh shall I see God:"

"צָרַעַת (tsaraath) designates an array of divinely diagnosed contaminations that could afflict skin, clothing, and even houses.

  • same as בֶּגֶד bagad to act treacherously, deceitfully[26],

and even houses[27]same as that which within.

Scripture never confines the term Leprosy to the modern Hansen’s disease[33]; instead, it functions as a covenant marker of uncleanness that calls for priestly discernment and ritual resolution. The word appears about thirty-five times, with its densest concentration in Leviticus 13–14."

Ancient Rabbis and Christians

The term translated Leprosy in the Hebrew of Leviticus 13–14 is also supposed to be a "supernatural, condition" seemingly based on the translation past down in the Masoretic text involving disfiguring skin patches (a rising(שְׂאֵ֤ת śə’êṯ)[34], a scab(סַפַּ֙חַת֙ sappaḥaṯ)[35], or bright spot(בַהֶ֔רֶת ḇahereṯ)[36]), as well as similar afflictions passed on clothing (garments)[37] and even the house walls where they abide.

In Rabbinic and Christian doctrines there are many scholars, both old[38] and new[39] whose doctrinal interpretive traditions of this unique Hebrew word tzaraat often translated leprosy is primarily not a medical disease. It is primarily both Symbolic and Spiritual affliction which may produce a breach or hindrance of the divine design of God, and therefore the will of God.

The the slanderous speech against your fellow man, "Lashon Hara" is an usurpation of God and His right to judge and evidence of a lack of faith in God.

This raw prejudgment of the members of mankind brings spiritual consequences/wrath that may seem to manifest spiritually by separating you from the God of life and eventually manifested in the physical. That manifestations can be perceived as either a warning or as a punishment for your moral departure/sin from the Holy Spirit of God.

The Leprosy of Miriam

Miriam and Aaron seems to have committed the sin of lashon hara, or evil tongue, speaking against MosesNumbers 12:1.[40]

Lashon hara (or loshon horo, or loshon hora) (Hebrew: לשון הרע‎; "evil tongue, evil speech, gossip, or slander") is the halakhic[41] term for speech about a person or persons that is meant to be negative or harmful to them.[42]

We are told not to be a respecter nor disrespector of Persons and the Lashon hara (לשון הרע‎ is not just words that come out of you mouth but your thoughts and think in your mind.

Supernatural things effecting the condition passed on to the flesh or the person also may effect the clothing which is to say the garments[37] and even their house walls which include where they abide, the internal workings of their family.

Moses Maimonides, widely known by the Hebrew acronym Rambam,[38] was a medieval Sephardic Jewish scholar, physician, and philosopher who explicitly wrote in his Mishneh Torah that tzaraat (צָרַעַת) was not a natural occurrence but a divine sign or wonder intended to warn against lashon hara (evil speech), causing changes in the person and his or her relationships or fellowship.

The first Rebbe of Chabad was a branch of Hasidic Judaism founded by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi was the primary authors who described the Hebrew term tzaraat (צָרַעַת) as a supernatural affliction.[38]

"It (leprosy) serves as a call to repentance and social correction rather than a contagious illness." Dr Michael H. Yeager in his teachings on "A Call to True Repentance".[39]

This statement describes how leprosy was historically and theologically perceived rather than its medical reality. It reflects the societal and religious views over many centuries.

So it appears that the term translated leprosy in the Old Testament is not a medical condition like modern disease. Instead, it may function as a visible, physical sign of deeper spiritual realities in ancient Israelite thought.

Many modern theologians and scholars[39] argue that references to leprosy in religious texts should be understood symbolically—as a spiritual "disease" of the soul calling for repentance and societal reform—rather than a literal, contagious illness meant to punish individuals.

Living Death

Tzara'at we see as leprosy may represent a form of “living death” or "decay" and we should know that it is covetous practices that degenerate the masses.

  • A white corpse is absent the blood, and it is the blood that is the seat of the soul. The life is virtually drained away as the spirit of God is neglected.
  • A person with tzara'at is treated ritually as unclean (tamei), must live outside the camp, tear their clothes, let their hair hang loose, cover their upper lip, and confess “Unclean! Unclean!” (Leviticus 13:45–46).

What is the symbolism of these instructions actually tells us about the spirit that gives life.

Spiritual Leper

The spiritual significance of a leper[1] as the walking dead is mysterious.

Diagnoses

Leviticus 13: verse 2 "When a man(אָדָ֗ם āḏām) shall have in the skin of his flesh(בְעוֹר־ ḇə‘ōwr-[22] בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ bəśārōw[28]) a rising(שְׂאֵ֤ת śə’êṯ)[34], a scab(סַפַּ֙חַת֙ sappaḥaṯ)[35], or bright spot(בַהֶ֔רֶת ḇahereṯ)[36], and it be in the skin of his flesh(בְעוֹר־ ḇə‘ōwr-[22] בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ bəśārōw[28]) like the plague of leprosy(צָרָ֑עַת ṣārā‘aṯ)[20]; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:"

Skin

  • First, we look "in the skin of his flesh"(בְעוֹר־ ḇə‘ōwr-[22] בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ bəśārōw[28]).

The word skin in the text is בְעוֹר־ ḇə‘ōwr- but the word is actually from a base word:

The same Hebrew letters also create the words 05783 עוּר‎ ‘uwr or 05782 עוּר‎ awake:

Habakkuk 3:9 Thy bow was made quite naked <05783>, [according] to the oaths of the tribes, [even thy] word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with ri* vers.

There עוּר ‎ ‘uwr is defined by some to mean "to be exposed, be bared, be laid bare"[43]

  • עוּר ‎ ‘uwr AyinVavReish translate up, awake, wake, raise, arise, even master but numbered 05782

Deuteronomy 32:9 For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirreth up <יָעִ֣יר( 05782)> her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

but is defined by some to mean "to rouse oneself, awake, awaken, incite"[44]

Flesh

In the text of Leviticus 13 we see בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ bəśārōw from the primitive root בָּשָׂר‎ basar:

  • בָּשָׂר‎ basar BeitShinReish[28] but the base word translated flesh hundreds of times also could be translated preach, tidings
  • בָּשָׂר‎ basar BeitShinReish as a primitive root is which translated tidings, show forth, and publish and given the number 01319.
  • Psalms 40:9 "I have preached <01319> righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest."
  • Psalms 68:11 "The Lord gave the word: great [was] the company of those that published <01319> [it]."
  • Psalms 96:2 "Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth <01319> his salvation from day to day."
  • Isaiah 40:9 "O Zion, that bringest good tidings <01319>, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings <01319>, lift up thy voice with strength; lift [it] up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!"
  • Isaiah 41:27 "The first [shall say] to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings <01319>.
  • Isaiah 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings <01319>, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings <01319> of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"
  • Isaiah 60:6 "The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth <01319> the praises of the LORD."
  • Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings <01319> unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;"

This basar could correspond to the word we see as Gospel which in the Greek is Euaggelion 2098[45] or as a verb euaggelizo 2097[46].

Is the text talking about the "skin of a man's flesh" or is it talking about the an awakening of something in the man, the word of God.

Deuteronomy 32:9 we see "the LORD'S portion" being divided by God himself. Deuteronomy 32:8 "When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."

Third Party

We should not divide one another but be forgiving and patient in love and charity.[47]

Yet, there may be a limit to what we should allow but we need a separate opinion of a third part, hence verse 2 that tells to bring the matter to " Aaron's sons the priests". The problem with the sons of Jacob they did not know the what it meant to be the sons of Israel. Joseph did know but today many do not know because they sit in darkness.[48] The way to return to the light is repent of the covetous practices of the public religion of the world and return to the Corban of Christ.[49]

Now the nation has been brought out of the bondage of Egypt but will they all allow God to awaken and publish His Holy Spirit in them?

They will call themselves children of Israel but will they be true and faithful sons or just go through rituals and ceremonies?

It is not enough to return everyman to his family[50] and to his possessions[51] but everyman must return to the tree of life, the Holy Spirit, the word of God which is the word of Jesus who was the Christ.

Symptoms

Leviticus 13:2 "When a man shall have in the skin[22] of his flesh[28] a rising(בְעוֹר־)[29], a scab[30], or bright spot[31], and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague[32] of leprosy(צָרָ֑עַת ṣārā‘aṯ)[20]; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:"

A swelling

A swelling or "a rising(בְעוֹר־) is the word שְׂאֵת‎ së’eth[29]"

But שְׂאֵת‎ së’eth is from 05375 נָשָׂא‎ nasa’[29]"lift, bear up or even dignity;

A scab

"a scab[52]" is the word סַפַחַת‎ cappachath SamechPeiChetTav from 05596 סַפַחַ caphach SamechPeiChet meaning to "put, abide, gather together" [53]

"or bright spot[31]"

"like the plague[32]"

Cleansing rites

Restoration rites listed in Leviticus 14 reveal God’s desire to cleanse and may give as ensight into the deeper meaning. “This is the law of the one afflicted with leprosy on the day of his cleansing” (Leviticus 14:2).

  37. 37.0 37.1 Garment of righteousness
    • Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a robe and a diadem.
    • Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh [himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth [herself] with her jewels.
    • Psalms 132:9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
    • Isaiah 59:17 "For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance [for] clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke."
    • Jude 1:21 "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
The warp and weft of Christ weaves a garment of righteousness through faith and mercy but the vanity of man's mind may weave a pattern of confusion that weakens the fabric of society. Free Assemblies bound by a doctrine of love instead of the authority of one over the other allows charity instead of force, forgiveness instead of vengeance. Through love the people may weave a network of righteousness.
  38. 38.0 38.1 38.2 Early Rabbinic Doctrines
    • Reish Lakish of the 3rd Century as a Talmudic Sage argued that the word Metzora (leper (Arachin 15b)) is a constructed word from "Motzi Shem Ra" ("one who spews slanders") references the social sin of Lashon Hara.
    • Rabbi Rambam (Maimonides 1138–1204) a 12th Century Philosopher expressed in his work on the Mishneh Torah that tzaraat is not a medical condition, but rather "an outstanding sign" and consequence presented through the will of God in whatever form. It may be seen as a contagious idea that infects a person which may even come out in the skin and flesh if we refuse to repent from malicious speech which may strangle love.
    • Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi founder of Rebbe Chabad a branch of Hasidic Judaism (1745–1812 commonly known as the Alter Rebbe or Baal HaTanya) was the primary authors who described the Hebrew term tzaraat (צָרַעַת) as a supernatural affliction.
    Early Christian Doctrine
    • 2 Corinthians 4: "16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
    • John 9:39-41: "'For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.' Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, 'Are we also blind?' Jesus said to them, 'If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, "We see," your sin remains.'"
    • Matthew 18:8: "And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire."
    • Psalms 69:23 "Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake."
    • Romans 11:10 "Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway."
  39. 39.0 39.1 39.2 Modern Rabbinic Doctrine
    • Rabbi Jonathan Sacks a Chief Rabbi of the UK(Lord Sacks) wrote in his "Covenant & Conversation" series cites the nature of the leper was symbolic suggesting the "Lashon Hara" (identified as evil speech) destroys the social fabric of a community. Therefore, the isolation or quarantine of the individual was rejecting prejudicial rhetoric or philosophies.
    • Rabbi Brad Hirshfield declares the idea of a person being "clean" if the "white scales" cover entirely can only be a paradoxical rule because it makes no medical sense then or now.
    • Rabbi Akiva Tatz who is a medical doctor and as an Orthodox scholar teaches that tzaraat is a physical manifestation of a metaphysical problem related to anti-social behavior leading to degeneration of social bonds.
    Modern Christian Doctrine
    • Professor David P. Wright of Brandeis University teaches that the primary concern of the Bible was the drawing people to spiritual holiness and purity, not public health nor infectious disease.
    • Dr. Thomas F. Torrance pointed to Jesus's healing of individuals of leprosy yet sees the physical condition as secondary to the alienation of the human soul from God. The text was requiring spiritual reconciliation rather than physical practices or medicine.
    • Dr Michael H Yeager stated in his teachings on "A Call to True Repentance", "It (leprosy) serves as a call to repentance and social correction rather than a contagious illness."
  40. Numbers 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches(lashon hara); and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. 10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam [became] leprous, [white] as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, [she was] leprous. 11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. 12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother s womb. 13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. 14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in [again]. 15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in [again]."
