Revision as of 11:37, 22 August 2023

In Egypt under the Pharaoh 20% of your labor belonged to the government of Pharaoh as if you were employed and they called it the Bondage of Egypt. All over the world today people pay much more of their labor to the government and call it freedom.
But because the people desired benefits from men who call themselves Benefactors we have returned to bondage. We were told to 'never return to the bondage of Egypt but people did under Herod and Rome, and in the United States under FDR. It was also called a corvee system of statutory labor or the bondage of Egypt. Jesus told us to think a different way and to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Are we in need of learning the lessons of Exodus?

The Israelites and the Egyptian people were in bondage because they consented to bondage. They were depending upon rulers who exercise authority one over the other to become their benefactor. Originally the Pharaoh did not own the labor of the people. But the people sold themselves in time of dearth.
Genesis 47:24 "And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth [part] unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones."
That bondage was a corvee of 20% we see in Egypt we see with Rehoboam who said concerning the yoke[1] of his government: “My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions” 1 Kings 12:14 whixh is the same tribute we see in 1 Kings 12:18.[2]
Servitude corrupts the Master as much as the bondservant because power corrupts the master and legal charity weakens the masses. This is key in the Natural Law… We were not given dominion over man so exercising dominion cuts us off from the tree of life.
V8... This Pharaoh did not know or appreciate Joseph and did not love the Israelites. He was affraid of them and attempted to weaken them but strengthened them.
V11 We see the MemSamech[3] or "forced service... enforced payment" as taskmasters[4] meaning afflict them with their burdens. The term, mas (מס) describes Pharaoh appointing “officers of the levy/labor (שרי מסים)” we see 23 times.[5] Samuel will tell Saul this not only is foolish but against the commandments.[6] But what appears in the text as missîm(מִסִּ֔ים) appears nowhere else in the Bible. It is accompanied by the term śārê(שָׂרֵ֣י)[4] and together they, śārê missîm(שרי מסים), produce taskmasters in verse 11.
The normal or common word for taskmasters is nagas[7] more often translated oppressor.[8].
V13-14 rigour perek meaning to break apart
V16 According to Acts 7:19-20 Moses was full term and not aborted and became a "ruling judge" by adoption.
In Exodus 1:17 the words saved alive is from Chayah ChetYodHey[9] but we see in the text wat-tə-ḥay-ye-nā VavTavHeyYodYodNun with a Double Yod.
In Exodus 1:20 the words Therefore dealt well are from yatab YodTetBeit[10] but in the text way-yê-ṭeḇ VavYodYodTetBeit with another Double Yod. The Double Yod means that God rewarded them by causing the royalty and the priesthood to issue from them. See Double letters.
V22 "Pharaoh charged[11] all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river"?
The midwifes preserved life and did not cause abortions disobeying the rulers and were blessed. Some countries require midwives to provide abortion assistance and they resist that today.
In Acts 7:19... this story is repeated.
Moses had to face the temptations that all leaders face. And the people would have to face their appetite for the dainties of rulers which are deceitful meats that make them merchandise.
We will see something about horns on Moses in Exodus 34 of the Douay-Rheims Bible translates the Vulgate as, " knew not that his face was horned", specifically verses 29, 30 and 35
Those covetous practices of Legal charity will curse children and entangle you again in the Yoke of bondage when you all have one purse and are snared in the public religion of the unrighteous mammon as a surety for debt.
Abraham would not take a buckle from the king of Sodom. Jesus too with the pure Religion of the early Church was setting the captive free with their daily ministration of fervent charity. The Way of Jesus the Christ was the way of Moses, Abraham, John the Baptist, and all the prophets.

Israel Increases Greatly in Egypt

1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.

2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,

4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

Pharaoh Oppresses Israel

8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters[3][4] to afflict[12] them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

12 But the more they afflicted[12] them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved[13] because of the children of Israel. (see Jordan_Peterson#Exodus.2C_Solomon.2C_revolutions.2C_and_the_corvee)

13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve[14] with rigour:[15]

14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage[16], in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service[16], wherein they made them serve,[14] was with rigour.[15]

Midwives

15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:

16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill[17] him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive[9].

18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

22 And Pharaoh charged[11] all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Question Authority

The slogan "Question Authority" has been around at least since the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates.

So, let us question authority.

From where is the authority of government derived?

Does your father have authority over his son?

Does the Mother nursing you have the right to put you to bed and tell you to stay in your room?

Does your father whose house you live in and whose table you eat at have a right to tell you when to come home?

Can you terminate your parents right to tell you what to do and not do?

After all they gave you life, fed you sheltered you, changed your diaper for years. Just because you get a job and your own apartment can you just terminate all the natural or rightful authority of your parents?

The truth is if your natural father builds the house you live in, puts food on the table for you to eat, cloths on your back and protect you from all the things that might stop your life then he has a right to make choices for you. He earned it because your life is something he made, not something you made.

What if the State provides food, clothes, shelter, education, & health care for you?

Does the state now have some of the rights of the natural father?

The truth is almost all government authority is merely the right of the Conscripted fathers who sit in offices created by governments. In fact, the power and authority of the State is most often based on the Patrimonial right of kings and rulers who derived that authority from the natural fathers who produce society.

The State has been steadily becoming the Father of the people for centuries through providing or spreadingamong them bounties, donations, and benefits

Protection draws to it subjection, subjection, protection.
Protectio trahit subjectionem, subjectio projectionem.

All this about substitute fathers and state as your father is why Jesus said "And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." Matthew 23:9

So authority may be derived naturally from the offer of protection and provision.

This brings us back to the words of men like Plutarch[18] and Polybius who said "The masses continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence;[19] and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder,[20] until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." [21]

We are warned about this appetite for benefits in Proverbs 23 if we sit to eat at the table or welfare system of rulers. It certainly tells us not to covet our neighbor's goods or anything that belongs to our neighbor. The Modern Christians ignore all that because he believes he has saved himself by what he thinks about Jesus.

It is these Covetous Practices that makes us Merchandise and gives authority to men to rule over us.

  21. "But when a new generation arises and the democracy falls into the hands of the grandchildren of its founders, they have become so accustomed to freedom and equality that they no longer value them, and begin to aim at pre-eminence; and it is chiefly those of ample fortune who fall into this error. 6 So when they begin to lust for power and cannot attain it through themselves or their own good qualities, they ruin their estates, tempting and corrupting the people in every possible way. 7 And hence when by their foolish thirst for reputation they have created among the masses an appetite for gifts and the habit of receiving them, democracy in its turn is abolished and changes into a rule of force and violence. 8 For the people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others, as soon as they find a leader who is enterprising but is excluded from the houses of office by his penury, institute the rule of violence; 9 and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch" Polybius: The Histories (composed at Rome around 130 BC) Fragments of Book VI, p289
