V1 The wisdom of the parable of the vine and the branches is said to be "undiscoverable" by biblical commentaries. "Many guesses have been made"[1] And understanding the nature of a Vinyard and the purpose and process of pruning is essential. But understanding who and what is the vine[2] (repeated in V5) and that the Father is the "husbandman" is more important.
V3 The logos was spoken[3] by Christ through spirit.
V4 The Holy Spirit must abide in the vine in heart and mind.
V6 Being cast forth as a branch into the fire, and they are burned is about being cast into strange fire where people devour one another.
That strange fire is the social welfare of the State run by men who exercise authority one over the other.[4]
Their tables of welfare are a snare and a trap that makes men merchandise and will curse children returning them to the bondage of Egypt.
What is the differences between the Father of Jesus as the Son of God and Savior of Christians the Father of Caesar as the Son of God and Savior of Rome And was their conflict. Is it the means and method, what they doeth.
At the core of that conflict was social welfare systems based on love[5], charity, and hope and another system of the welfare state that functions through force of men who exercise authority that impose the contributions through fear and fealty.
Only a system that functions by voluntary fervent charity through the individual choice of love will produce fruit while systems of legal charity through forced contributions makes the word of God to none effect.
An appetite of for the dainties of rulers through the covetous practices of Benefactors who exercising authority degenerated the masses and debilitated the fruit bearing capacity of society because it not only violated the Ten Commandments but was the antitheses of abiding in His love.
Christ commanded that His ministers require the people gather in networked assemblies of symposium.to care for one another through charity alone which is defining what love truly is.
The tables of the world are not only a snare but will make the people merchandise and curse children, return them to the bondage of Egypt.
Questions
Are you coveting your neighbors' goods through rulers?[4]
Are you practicing Pure Religion or the public religion that Paul and David said were the welfare tables that are a snare and a trap?
Is the tasting of these dainties and benefits the fornication[6] with the harlot Proverbs and Paul said was idolatry?[7]
Where is your daily ministration?
Is your social safety net based on legal charity through the policies of force, fear, and Fealty by the way of covetous practices and the rulers of the world who exercise authority one over the other?
Or have you learned to care for one another through the practice of Pure Religion and a dependence upon faith, hope, and charity which is love of the kingdom of God and His righteousness?

Vine and husbandman

1 ¶ I am[2] the true[8] vine,[2] and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh[9] away:[10] and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word[11] which I have spoken unto you.[3]

4 Abide[12] in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide[12] in the vine[9]; no more can ye, except ye abide[12] in me.

I Am the True Vine

5 I am[2] the vine,[2] ye are the branches: He that abideth[12] in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide[12] not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide[12] in me, and my words abide[12] in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The Father honored

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit[9]; so shall ye be my disciples.‭

9 ¶ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.[5]

If you keep

10 If ye keep my commandments[13], ye shall abide[12] in my love[14]; even as I have kept[15] my Father’s commandments[13], and abide[12] in his love.

11 These things have I spoken[3] unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

The sacrifice of love

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another[16], as I have loved you.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life[16][17] for his friends.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Chosen and commanded

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

The Hatred of the World

18 ¶ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying,[11] they will keep yours also.

21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake

No place to hide

22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Spirit of the Father

26 ¶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth[18], which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:[19]

27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

    Exodus 3:14 "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. ";
John 8:24 “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” (present tense)
John 8:28 “‭Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” (future tense)
John 8:58 “‭Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” (past tense)
Jesus honoured, which is to magnify the Creator, rather than himself.
John 8:54 "Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:"
The Creator is the Father who gives life. To take life is contrary to the Logos of the I am The I am is the preexisting breath of the Creator of the Divine Will. Jesus was one with the logos of the "I am" of God made flesh. The people did not know the God that gave them life because the did not want to see themself in the light of His truth. Jesus brought the light and those that hated the light hated Him.
John 8:55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Many may think they are born again but they do not love the light. They say Lord, Lord but are under a strong delusion and invent the doctrines of men so they may remain in darkness and in denial about the true Logos of God.
John 9:9;“‭Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.”
John 10:9 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
John 13:19 “Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.”
John 14 “‭3 ... where I am, there ye may be also. ‭4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. ‭5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? ‭6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way(Egō eimi hē hodos), the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me(emou)... ‭9 ... Shew us the Father? ‭10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? ... but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. ‭11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: ... 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.”

It is thus distinct from ~φιλία~, \@friendship\@ (#Jas 4:4 only), ~στοργη~, \@natural affection\@ (in the NT only in its compounds, v. s. ~ἄστοργος~ 794) and ~ερως~ \@sexual love,\@ which is not used in the NT, in its place being taken by ~επιηυμια~ 1939.
  6. Fornication, adultery and idolatry

1 Corinthians 5:10 "Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
Psalms 106:38 And shed innocent blood, [even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

  14. Love God and neighbor
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:... 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
