This light on the desert which he saw as a burning bush at first he had no other words to describe. He talked to a voice coming from this "burning bush". It was the LORD which appeared unto him inside this "burning bush".

And He is told to remove his shoes "for the place[4] whereon thou". The Burning Bush

Jesus was one with the logos of the "I am" of God made flesh. The people did not know the God that gave them life because the did not want to see themself in the light of His truth. Jesus brought the light and those that hated the light hated Him.
