Amalek
Amalek[1] as an individual was the grandson of Esau (son of Eliphaz and Timna) and the chieftain of an Edomite tribe as we see in Genesis 36:12-16.
As a nation the name refers to the Amalekites, a nomadic people who inhabited the Negev and Sinai regions. They are described in the Hebrew Bible as the earliest and most persistent enemy of the Israelites after leaving the bondage of Egypt at Rephidim in Exodus 17:8–16.
Lick blood
As a name Amalek is often interpreted as "dweller in the vale" or even seen as "warlike." But in the traditional Rabbinic etymology Amalek or am lak means "a people that licks [blood]".[2]
Israel was not to eat meat that had blood[3] in it and some will compare the imagery of this metaphor to a dog licking up blood.
While in historical Jewish thought, Amalek represents irrational hatred but also "doubt" or a lack of faith in the righteous way of God.
They may also symbolize an archetype of an enemy who often attacks the weak and weary from behind as suggested by Deuteronomy 25:17–19. But the truth is the nature of their idolatry[4] and the means and methods of their form of governance brings darkness to their eyes where they do not see that they not only weaken the poor but degenerate the people into perfect savages.
Blotting out
The Bible commands the Israelites to "utterly blot out" the memory of Amalek for their spiritual struggle against idolatry.[4]
The question may be how do you do that?
The Torah contains a specific commandment to "blot out the memory of Amalek,"[5] interpreted primarily as a spiritual, moral, and communal obligation rather than a literal mandate to physically genocide the biological nation of Amalekites.
Violent governments that attack nations or the more subtle modern terrorist groups who fund proxy wars or violence through terrorization of population by assassination, mass murder, or bombing have been typologically associated with the nature of the Amalek.
Drinking the blood
But the licking of blood often precedes these violent acts with the covetous practices of those who sit and eat with rulers because of their appetite for benefits and the dainties served at the table of rulers. This would include the socialists and communists who seek to have one purse,[6] or devise to build a city as a cauldron where the citizen is the flesh in the pot[7] which others will bite and eat out your substance.[8]
Is there a place in ancient texts about tribes and social bonds which do not divide the people[9] where you can lick and even drink blood?[10]

- ↑ Innocent blood
- Proverbs 1:7-19 “7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. 10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. 19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof."
- Jeremiah 7:6 "[If] ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: 7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. 8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;"
- Jeremiah 26:15 "But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears."
- Psalms 106:38 "And shed innocent blood, [even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood."
- Zechariah 7:10 "And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart."
- ↑ Meat and Blood
- Genesis 9:4 "But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."
- Leviticus 17:10 "And whatsoever man [there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11 For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul. 12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. 13 And whatsoever man [there be] of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. 14 For [it is] the life of all flesh; the blood of it [is] for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh [is] the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off."
- Leviticus 19:26 "Ye shall not eat [any thing] with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times."
- Deuteronomy 12:23 "Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood [is] the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. 24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water. 25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do [that which is] right in the sight of the LORD. 26 Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose: 27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh."
- Micah 3:5 "Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him."
- Habakkuk 2:7 "Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?"
- Galatians 5:15 "But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another."
- The Bible forbids eating meat with blood if we believe the private interpretation of Genesis 9:4 "4 But flesh with the life(בְּנַפְשׁ֥וֹ) thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat(תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃)." But it is "the life is in the blood" of another we should not consume. This prohibition is poorly understood. see Leviticus 17:10-14 "the life of the flesh is in the blood", Deuteronomy 12:23-27 "Eat not the blood" and "thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood... upon the altar of the LORD. "
- Acts 15:20, 29 "... they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood." See also Milk and meat and the dainties of rulers which are deceitful meats because they are that snare and trap that makes men merchandise delivering them into a yoke of bondage in Mystery Babylon.
- ↑ 4.0 4.1 Covetousness is idolatry
- Colossians 3:5 "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"
- Ephesians 5:5 "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."
- 1 Corinthians 5:10 "Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
- For it is written that the tables of dainties provided by rulers of the world are a snare because they cause the masses to bite one another through government systems of legal charity which are covetous practices which are a form of fornication or adultery where the people are devoured as merchandise, curse children and are "entangled again in the yoke of bondage" with the aid of the false religion of the whore who rides the beast.
- ↑ Deuteronomy 25:19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance to possess it, [that] thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget [it].
- ↑ One Purse
- Proverbs 1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. 17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. 18 And they lay wait for their [own] blood; they lurk privily for their [own] lives. 19 So [are] the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; [which] taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
- Proverbs 23:1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what [is] before thee: 2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou [be] a man given to appetite. 3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they [are] deceitful meat. 4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. 5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for [riches] certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. 6 Eat thou not the bread of [him that hath] an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
- Ezekiel 11:3 "Which say, [It is] not near; let us build houses: this [city is] the caldron, and we [be] the flesh. 4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

- ↑ Divide and conquer
- Romans 16:17 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." see also 2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, [through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
- 1 Corinthians 1:10 "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment... 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?"

- Philippians 2: 3 "[Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Lo k not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"
- Isaiah 59:1-2."1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4 None calleth for justice, nor [any] pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. 5 They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper."

- John 6:53-58 “53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.”
