So who are the "Saints" and who are the "unjust"? |
The unjust[3] were workers of iniquity who through the covetous practices and wantonness loved the Wages of unrighteousness provided by the civil fathers of the earth and the gods many of the world spoken of by Paul. |
The Saints[4] are those disciples Jesus as the Christ called out and appointed the kingdom to who were to be "separate" from the world. |
Since the ministers of the Church were to "occupy in the church the same positions as those which were occupied by Aaron, his sons, and the Levites in the temple." Jerome, Ep. 146 then they also would need to provide the cities of refuge which were the voluntary appeals court system. |
The courts of the world use force to judge and compel recompense while the court or "judgeent seat of Christ"[5] sought the people's voluntary cooperation. The levites were similar if we are willing to understand the stoning. |
Questions |
If you had no inheritance in the kingdom then there was no communion, nor daily ministration and you would be at the mercy of the world. |
There is a long list starting in verse 9 of people who shall not "inherit the kingdom of God". |
To inherit or rather as we see here to not have a right to inherit[6] means "to receive the portion assigned to one" or "to become partaker of, to obtain". |
The early Church community had a common communion through a daily ministration rooted in a voluntary charity by The Way of Pure Religion. |
To turn your back on the community that is trying to attend to what Christ called the weightier matters they could be cut off from the welfare "safety net" provided through the communion of Pure Religion provided by the early Church as it "rightly divided bread from house to house". |
What does he mean "make them the members of an harlot"? |
Most of the adultery of the testaments is national adultery with systems not of the Bride of Christ through social compacts and covetous practices. |

Not inherit the kingdom
1 ¶ Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law[7] before the unjust, and not before the saints[4]?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged[7] by you, are ye unworthy to judge[8] the smallest matters?
Unrighteous vs Righteous
3 Know ye not that we shall judge[7] angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments[8] of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
The wise and shameful
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law[7] with brother, and that before the unbelievers[9].
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
The deceived fornicating idolaters
9 ¶ Know ye not that the unrighteous[10] shall not inherit the kingdom[11] of God?[12] Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
The covetous extortioners
10 Nor thieves [13], nor covetous [14], nor drunkards [15], nor revilers [16], nor extortioners [17], shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Things Lawful
12 ¶ All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power[18] of any.[19][20] 13 Meats[21] for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.[22] 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

- ↑ Hypocrisy of the profane
- Job 15:34 "For the congregation of hypocrites<02611> [shall be] desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. 35 They conceive mischief<labor>, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit."
- Job 34:30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
- Proverbs 11:9 An hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
- Matthew 15:7 "[Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men."
- Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 16 Woe unto you, [ye] blind guides,... 19 [Ye] fools and blind: ... 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier (matters) of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
- Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men’s] bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,"
- 1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
- ↑ Covetousness is idolatry
- Colossians 3:5 "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"
- Ephesians 5:5 "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."
- 1 Corinthians 5:10 "Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
- For it is written that the tables of dainties provided by rulers of the world are a snare because they cause the masses to bite one another through government systems of legal charity which are covetous practices which are a form of fornication or adultery where the people are devoured as merchandise, curse children and are "entangled again in the yoke of bondage" with the aid of the false religion of the whore who rides the beast.

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
- 2 Timothy 3:1 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

- 2 Peter 2:13 "And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness<3408>, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots [they are] and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam [the son] of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness<3408 >;"
- Acts 1:18 "Now this man purchased a field with the reward <3408> of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out."
- Jude 1:11 "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward <3408>, and perished in the gainsaying of Core."
- ↑ Not inherit
