Jacob

Jacob would eventually be known as Israel. As a patriarch of the Israelites he was a significant figure in the Hebrew Bible and the forefather of the Israelites. He was the son of Isaac and Rebecca, the grandson of Abraham, and had twelve sons by the sisters of Laban and Zilpah Leah's maid and Bilhah Rachel's maid.

These sons became the founders of the twelve tribes of Israel after 400 years in the bondage of Egypt when Moses was sent to set them free.
