What did Jesus really mean about His kingdom not being of the world?
What does being "in" the world but not "of" the world look like?
There was the concept of free men under God and yoke of bondage.
God gave a man the choice to be Wise and wicked, faithful and foolish. The Church was part of the kingdom of God which was in the world but not of the world, secular being from the Latin for world. The Church is God's government, all be it, a peculiar people.

Distinctions of good and evil

Seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness includes the return to Eden where you eat of the tree of life and have the dominion God endowed you with and are happy.

The Globalist promises us that "we will own nothing and we will be happy." What the offer us is Mystery Babylon.

Jesus tells us to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and every thing will be added to us.

A year ago we did a Q & A about the kingdom of God and His righteousness on an X Space.

"There is no safety for honest men, but by believing all possible evil of evil men." —Edmund Burke

Knowing what is good and what is evil and the means and method by which we know is key to man's pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.

"You know, doing what is right is easy. The problem is knowing what is right."—Lyndon B. Johnson

While I have never been a big fan of Lyndon Baines Johnson what he says is not untrue.

Besides Adam and Eve's challenging diet in the pusuit of the knowledge of good and evil by eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil we also have Pontius Pilate asking the question "What is the truth?"[2] But the truth is spiritual.[3]

Economic systems

Socialism is an economic system but also a political system.[4]

Many will phrase that definition of socialism stating that the "means of production, distribution, and exchange belong to the workers."

The workers does not own nor hold the means of production, the power to distribute, nor the right to exchange in their hands but it is held by the collective.

Being a political system which by definition would include "the governing of a political entity, such as a nation, and the administration and control of its internal and external affairs."

The means of production

The only economic system that allows the individual workers to own the means of production, the power to distribute, nor the right to exchange is capitalism because socialism and Communism or even fascism are systems that depend on the coveting of those things their neighbor produces.

Poltics of power

All those systems depend on political force to compel and regulate what some call sharing.

That political power always degenerates the leader into tyrants and the masses into "perfect savages". See https://preparingyou.com/wiki/Perfect_savages

Not Political

Capitalism is an economic system where the individual has a right to the value he or she produces.

That right must be properly recognized and defended by the brave elements of society as a "property right" for capitalism to function.

Almost all the real problems attributed to what is called capitalism today is in fact the result of "creeping socialism", which can be identified as the "covetous practices" or the politics of coveting.

Those political[5] practices become legal when the people consent while they are greedy for gain and develop an appetite for benefits even at the expense of others and depend for their livelihood on the property of others which is immoral.

If the bondage of Egypt required a portion of your labor to go to the government and the Corban of Herod and the Pharisees did the same then when Jesus came to set the captive free both Moses and Jesus would return every man to his family and to his possession.

If Jesus sets the captive free[6] because Jesus was not a socialist but a capitalist.[7]

Policy creep

As socialist policies creep into your economy and politics it always feeds an enmity between the richer and the less rich, dividing and conquering those who are jealous, envious and covet. http://preparingyou.com/wiki/Socialism

If you desire benefits from those in government who call themselves benefactors but exercise authority as rulers of the people you are in opposition to Christ.

Thomas Sowell interview

Thomas Sowell: Facts Against Rhetoric, Capitalism, Culture and Yes, the Tariffs - Hoover Institution. Uncommon Knowledge 2025 https://youtu.be/uejTE6-nIQI 1:01:17 min

Thomas Sowell was asked why did he create the website facts against rhetoric org

Thomas Sowell answered:

"I thought of it as enabling students to get education despite going to college."

Is capitalism humane

Milton Friedman addresses the question, is capitalism humane? (5:52) At the beginning of capitaliom the individual still owns the "means of production, distribution, and exchange" as an individual.

But also Milton Friedman stated:

"... the great virtue of a market capitalist society is that by preventing a concentration of power, it prevents people from doing the kind of harm which only concentrated power can do."

"So that I conclude that capitalism per se is not humane nor inhumane. Socialism per se is not humane nor inhumane."

Systems of rights

Which one of these two systems (socialism vs capitalism) preserves the right to choose and which one grants the original right (private[8], primal[9], primary[10]) to own the "means of production, distribution, and exchange" to another.

Rights granted by "due process" (consent) to the political state[11] become (public rights.[12]

Friedman also stated:

"But capitalism tends to give free reign, much freer reign to the more humane values of human beings. It tends to develop a climate which is more favorable to the development, on the one hand, of a higher moral atmosphere of responsibility and on the other, to greater achievements in every realm of human understanding."

This tending to give free reign which may be a much freer reign that may produce a climate which is more favorable to the development of positive human values is not automatic.

Evidently other elements must act upon or within society to prevent man from becoming less free.

Mankind has both a history of becoming less than free with the institutions he creates for himself. Becoming mere Human resources with restricted and regulated public rights[12] as subjects under the law of the state over its subjects has been a pattern repeated in every age and corner of the world.

"There is only one thing more painful than learning from experience and that is not learning from experience." [13]

History tells us that certain elements and practices in society alters the coarse of society.

The cause is not always direct nor obvious.

As an example the shrinking of muscles in a polio victim is primarily due to injury to the motor nerves that control those muscles. The injury to the nerves leads to muscle atrophy from lack of use. The poliovirus, or any thing that damages and ruins the connectivity of healthy motor neurons within the body will result in reduced muscle activity and subsequent muscle shrinkage.

The same is true for low gravity condition that astronauts would experience on a long journey to Mars. Their body would adjust so that returning to earth would be almost impossible.

Seeds of confusion and chaos

City states, nations and empires have risen to greatness only to be ruined by the enemy within as from and invassion of a foreign actor.

We may read the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley that describes where "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone / Stand in the desert" symbolizing the decayed grandeur ironically emphasized with the inscription of its maker.

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Only his arrogance is memorialezed by the absence of his ruined grandeur and the contrast as "the lone and level sands stretch far away."

While, it is true that "Once you permit those who are convinced of their own superior rightness to censor and silence and suppress those who hold contrary opinions, just at that moment the citadel has been surrendered." [13] the decay and ruin of the grandeurof yor once great citadel began long before.

The once great Roman republic had alredy begun its historical decline and fall as early Christians strove to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Mischief crept secretly

The early Church was already being persecuted by the Romans when Plutarch, aRoman citizen, Greek historian, biographer, and essayist professed those elements of society and government that first ruined Rome.

"That the man who first ruined the Roman people twas he who first gave them treats and gratuities. But this mischief crept secretly and gradually in, and did not openly make it's appearance in Rome for a considerable time." Plutarch's Life of Coriolanus (c. 100 AD.)[14]

Hate not Curse not

Much of what we believe ails today's society are the symptoms of a social disease rather than the cause. To curse the discomfort does not cure the cough nor relieve the cold.

"A man who lives, not by what he loves but what he hates, is a sick man." [13]

Hating what you imagine to be the source of your present or future calamity does not relieve the cause of your nation's ruin nor alieviate the coming of your own ruin.

The cure

"Freedom is the Right to Choose, the Right to create for oneself the alternatives of Choice. Without the possibility of Choice, and the exercise of Choice, a man is not a man but a member, an instrument, a thing.”[13]

Because socialism is a political system it requires you become a member which is a person and therefore an instrument of the collective as a human resource and literally become 'merchandise.”

The collective pit

The Socialist State is the city that is a cauldron and the way of One purse where you own nothing and are supposed to be happy. See Globalism, Babylon.

Once the citizens becomes accustomed to living at the expense of others he or she will begin a process of degeneration. This process may be very slow for some been human nature is fixed. The only thing that changes is our values or vision of them. If we ignore the inevitable changes that will occur our ability to see may also degenerate until our conscience is seared.[15]

Cracker culture

In Thomas Sowel's Book Black rednecks and white liberals. Blacks inherited some of the culture brought to the south from Europe.

In Elizabethan England the root of the word cracker derives from the verb crack (meaning to boast) and the noun craker, Elizabethan Roots: The word derives from the verb crack (meaning to boast) and the noun craker, which William Shakespeare used in his 1590s play King John to describe an obnoxious gascon or boaster.

By 1760s, British and American colonists applied the term to Scots-Irish and Celtic immigrants who settled the lawless southern backcountries of Virginia, Maryland, the Carolinas, and Georgia.

There was a fierce independence among both the blacks and whites. Most black were not slaves on large plantations but worked together with there masters for mutual survival in a difficult time.

Discrimination and Disparities

At the end of slavery they knew what it took to survive for the understood what was needed to be succesfull as an individual and family.

"The plain fact is that the black poverty rate declined from 87% in 1940 to 47% in 1960, prior to the great expansion of the welfare state that began in the 1960s under the Johnson administration. And as late as 1969, two-thirds of all black children were living with both parents."

"Once you permit those who are convinced of their own superior rightness to censor and silence and suppress those who hold contrary opinions, just at that moment the citadel has been surrendered." [13]

1509 min transc quote In the case of blacks, I would pick the period from, say, 1940 to 1960. 18:18 In 1940, 82% of black children 18:24 were raised with two parents. After the 60s, and all the social things 18:33 that happened, that fell to 17%. And so you destroyed one of the key institutions of any society, 18:43 the family and its influence and that's the consequence. Similarly, with things like violence, 18:52 the homicide rate among black males fell during the 1940s by 18%. 18:59 It fell again by 22% between 40 and 50. Now in the 1960s, which is when all progress is assumed 19:09 to have begun, the Supreme Court began creating new 19:14 constitutional rights for prisoners and criminals. 19:19 And almost immediately beginning in the 1960s, 19:25 the homicide rate doubled. And it doubled after three consecutive decades of 19:34 falling homicide rates for the whole country.

>> Peter Robinson: So, Tom, again, let me quote, if I may, from discrimination and disparities this is you writing in that book. 20:00 There was a far more modest decline in the poverty rate among blacks after the Johnson administration's massive war on poverty programs began. 20:09 And by 1995, only a third of black children were living with both parents, among black families in poverty, 20:15 85% of the children had no father present Close quote. All right, this brings us to a very important question, 20:23 which is did the Great Society, did these? We have government programs, civil rights, you've already said those were essential, 20:32 simply as a matter of justice. At roughly the same time, we get welfare programs, a massive increase in government spending, the so called war on poverty. 20:42 And we also get cultural upheaval, shifting or erosion of certain cultural norms and 20:50 your argument is civil rights is the civil rights legislation. 20:56 Equality before the law was just and necessary and overdue we're happy that that happened, it needed to happen. 21:05 But your argument is also that federal money, that the rise of the welfare state and the erosion of cultural norms 21:14 took progress among black Americans, stopped it and reversed it. 21:19 In other words, that they actually did harm or that they were merely irrelevant. 21:25 >> Thomas Sowell: They did harm across the society, not just among racial minorities. 21:35 You have people who've had meaning taken out of their lives. 21:43 People, for example, I see in California, especially people 21:49 who have young people with cars will go into some street area and 21:55 then do all kinds of crazy driving with a car in order to attract a crowd.

21 min social programs took meaning out of the lives of blacks by altering the culture generating a mental and emotional malaise and apathy

malaise an indefinite feeling of debility or lack of health often indicative of or accompanying the onset of an illness

22:01 And that's what they get. But people who have meaning in their lives from what they're doing, 22:09 if you have having a family to support, having a child to raise, 22:14 things like that, that puts meaning in their lives. But when all of that is taken out of their lives by the government, and especially when the government is paying people when they have no husband present and not paying if there is a husband present. 22:35 You are subsidizing a social change that is doing far more harm than whatever incidental good you are doing just by handing out some money.

He produced two main findings in his book Charter School's and their Enemies.

the first, he found that charter school students, especially black and

Hispanic students, outperformed the public school students. 24:13 And the second measure- >> Thomas Sowell: In the same building. >> Peter Robinson: In the same building. You've got, in one example, 24:18 only 7% of the kids in one public school passed a math proficiency exam. Among the charter school kids on the other side of the wall, 24:25 being taught in the same building, the figure was 100%. So let's pause with that finding, how can that be?

Thomas Sowell got less respect the more he accomplised "One of the ironies that I experienced in my own career was that I received more automatic respect when I first began teaching in 1962 as an inexperienced young man with no PhD. And few publications than I did later in the 1970s after accumulating a more substantial record."

In Carlo Collodi's <born on November 24, 1826>classic story in the original 1883 book The Adventures of Pinocchio, the wooden puppet transitions from a character defined by major vices to one who embodies core virtues.

Pinocchio, was a puppet He lied Slothfully neglected his duty Disobeyed his maker and his conscience. self-centered, thankless, and easily led into temptations.

To become human he must

Face the painful consequences Accept the light of Honesty and Truthfulness Bravily risk all for others sacrificing comfort for sake of Selfless Love and Devotion abandoning his idle, stubborn ways for hard work, caring for his father and attending school diligently. Disney made the puppet Innocent, naive, and impressionable. Carlos made.

Him Cruel, petulant, and rebellious. Pinocchio immediately kicks Geppetto, and wilfully runs away and even kills the Talking Cricket with a hammer. It is a Dark, violent satire. A world of starvation, murderers, systemic corruption, and severe physical trauma used as a cautionary tale witr Brutal consequences. Pinocchio burns his feet off, gets trapped in a dead donkey, and is nearly fried by a green ogre.

Underlying Message "Don't pull my strings." A political and educational critique emphasizing that we must acquire knowledge and understañding to escape societal manipulation.

What consequence shall you face?

If you send your children to public school you are grooming them for socialism and demoalizing them to accept covetous practices, depending oni. The property of others to get free things is covetous. And covetousness is Idalotry. https://preparingyou.com/wiki/Democratic_socialism

"That the man who first ruined the Roman people twas he who first gave them treats and gratuities. But this mischief crept secretly and gradually in, and did not openly make it's appearance in Rome for a considerable time." Plutarch's Life of Coriolanus (c. 100 AD.) “The real destroyers of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations, and benefits.” Plutarch https://preparingyou.com/wiki/Judeo-Christian

The early church and Christians were a well organized voluntary society who were persecuted by the elite for not joining in the welfare systems of the Pharisees and the Romans run through their government temples. The social safety net provided through what was called public religion was considered a covetous practice because it provided benefits through contribution compelled by men who exercised authority. Modern Christians love these "dainties of rulers" these "wages of unrighteousness" and those benefits of the socialist welfare State.

A regime is a system of rules, norms, and procedures that determines how a government is organized, how people access political power, and how public decisions are made. Christ regime?
