Son of Man
The Greek phrase τοῦ Υἱοῦʼ Ανθρώπον (huios tou anthrōpos), of the Son of Man is used to identify Jesus in the Bible more than 70 times.[1]
Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning[2] cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Is he really coming like lightening?
The Greek word translated lightening astrape (ἀστραπή)[2] can just mean a light shining from the east like the sun rising.
Son of man also appear more than a hundred times in the Old Testament and not exlusive to Jesus.[3]
The Son of man does not "devise mischief, and give wicked counsel".
The son of man is the obedient son of Adam and therefore of the Father and therefore an heir to the good blessing of the son who does that Divine will.
Daniel and the son of god
In John 9:35 Jesus hears of the blind man he had healed with his spittle and dirt[4] was put out of the temple system of social welfare through the Corban of the Pharisees.
Jesus goes and looks for him and asks "Dost thou believe on the Son of God?"
Several commentators point out that some text would be translated Son of man here and there are numerous sources that agree.[5] This may be because the phrase Son of God was originally from the Latin "divi filius"[6] then translated into Greek as "υἱὸν τοῦ Θεοῦ; huios toû Theou" Son of God. The common phrase among the Hebrew was Son of Man referring to the the obedient Son of God which Adam should have been.
Son of God only appears in the Old Testament once in Daniel 3:25[7] we see לְבַר ləḇar which only appears in this text of Daniel 3:25.
The normal word for son in Hebrew is Ben[8] which appears thousands of times. The Aramaic word bar BeitReish only 8 times[9] and only once here in Daniel 3 beginning with a Lamed. Other translations render this לְבַר ləḇar as "a son" not "The Son" as we see in the King James.
The word God in Daniel 3:25 is the Aramaic word אַלָהּ ‘elahh[10] which in the text appears as אֱלָהִֽין׃ ’ĕlāhîn. That form is only used by Daniel and appears 9 times in the book. The King James translates it gods with a small g 8 times. Most other translations render the word with the small g in all appearance including Daniel 3:25.
The phrase Son of God is clearly unique to the New Testament and appears 46 times. At the time one of the major conflicts with giving this title to Jesus was the fact that it was a title already used by Caesar which made him the final authority over what had become the government temples which provided the growing welfare system administered through them.
Julius Caesar received the title of because of his unprecedented donations. Unfortunately, these donations were made at the expense of Rome's neighbors the Gaul.
The idea of someone who exercises authority one over the other[11] to direct the social welfare and daily ministration of the daily bread of society or certainly set them selves up as if they are the Benefactor of the people or even as the head of the Church was opposed by Christ.[11] This is because the distinction between Moses and Jesus and their system of Pure Religion was that the tables and welfare systems they set up were dependent upon freewill offerings or what we call charity and not on the force required through the legal charity of the State which is called idolatry.[12]
That idolatry through coveting what belongs to others, while opposed by Jesus[13], was not opposed by Herod, Caesar, Constantine, Henry the VIII, FDR and many others of the Modern Churches. There are religious figures and persons who use the power of civil government to provide most of the daily bread for their followers. But God is no respecter of persons.
Paul and David and Proverbs and the prophets tell us that these tables of welfare are a snare and a trap. Peter tells us because they are covetous practices they will make us merchandise and curse children.
