Gaius Octavius
Augustus was born Gaius Octavius into an old and wealthy equestrian branch of the plebeian gens Octavia. His maternal great-uncle Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC, and Octavius was named in Caesar's will as his adopted son and heir. Along with Mark Antony and Marcus Lepidus, he formed the Second Triumvirate to defeat the assassins of Caesar. Following their victory at the Battle of Philippi, the Triumvirate divided the Roman Republic among themselves and ruled as de facto dictators.
Over 30 years before Christ was born Octavian became Caesar Augustus. He had formed his first army by 19 and won accolades of praise his whole life.
The Love of Caesar
"Augustus was sensible that mankind is governed by names; nor was he deceived in his expectation, that the senate and people would submit to slavery, provided they were respectfully assured that they still enjoyed their ancient freedom. A feeble senate and enervated people cheerfully acquiesced in the pleasing illusion, as long as it was supported by the virtue, or even by the prudence, of the successors of Augustus. It was a motive of self-preservation, not a principle of liberty, that animated the conspirators against Caligula, Nero, and Domitian. They attacked the person of the tyrant, without aiming their blow at the authority of the emperor."[1]
The "feeble senate and enervated people" was the result of general prosperity of the nation but also the inability or lack of will to prosecute Julius Caesar for his war crimes against the people of Gaul.
The "treats and gratuities"[2] that were bestowed upon the people by that former Flamen Dialis, the high priest of Jupiter who turned commander in chief lead to the degeneration of the masses.
He funded these gifts and bribes with the spoils he had robbed from Gaul and the immoral slave trade of women and children shipped off to finance his armies. This was only the beginning of the covetous practices that leads to the dissolving of the social bonds of liberty which Augustus and the Caesars would continue.
To some, Caesar was a great Father of society, the founding father of a new system where society prospered with liberty and justice for all. His promise of returning to the Constitutional Republic, his advocacy of family values, his pledge of welfare reform constantly raised the hopes of the masses. Rome's military success, its system of justice and its golden eagle heralding it as the greatest nation in the world won him great popularity and unquestioning loyalty.
"The year 2 B.C. marked the 25th anniversary of Caesar Augustus's rule and the 750th anniversary of the founding of Rome. Huge celebrations were planned. The whole empire was at peace. The doors of the temple of Janus were closed for only the third time in Roman history. To honor their emperor, the people were to rise as one and name him pater patriae, or Father of the Country. This enrollment, described in the Book of Luke, which brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem, has always been a mystery since no regular census occurred at this time. But the pater patriae enrollment fits perfectly."[3]
Even the benevolent benefactor of Augustus Caesar was impressive to the people of Judea. He was not the hated tyrant with occupying army. Things were good or getting better. Taxes were getting higher but so were profits as the concept of inflation began to insidiously creep into their lives. Eventually a series of devastating recessions would bring down the economy of Rome and all those who were plugged into its flow of power and affluence but for now things were good.
All Jews did not hate the Emperor (Emperator,[4] the commander in chief) of the mighty multinational military force that kept the peace throughout the world.
Mourning Caesar
"The annual Temple-tribute was allowed to be transported to Jerusalem, and the alienation of these funds by the civil magistrates treated as sacrilege. As the Jews objected to bear arms, or march, on the Sabbath, they were freed from military service. On similar grounds, they were not obliged to appear in courts of law on their holy days. Augustus even ordered that, when the public distribution of corn or of money among the citizens fell on a Sabbath, the Jews were to receive their share on the following day. In a similar spirit the Roman authorities confirmed a decree by which the founder of Antioch, Seleucus I. (Nicator),[d Ob.280 B.C.] had granted the Jews the right of citizenship in all the cities of Asia Minor and Syria which he had built, and the privilege of receiving, instead of the oil that was distributed, which their religion forbade them to use, [e Ab. Sar ii. 6] an equivalent in money. [Jos.Ant. xii. 3. 1] These rights were maintained by Vespasian and Titus even after the last Jewish war, notwithstanding the earnest remonstrances of these cities. No wonder, that at the death of Caesar [g 44 B.C.] the Jews of Rome gathered for many nights, waking strange feelings of awe in the city, as they chanted in mournful melodies their Psalms around the pyre on which the body of their benefactor had been burnt, and raised their pathetic dirges."[5]
Jews did not hate Rome for the most part. Many loved and desired their protection, generosity and social security, besides they were good for business. There were rebels, as always, malcontents and doomsdayers.
There were tax protesters, religious zealots, and extreme fundamentalists who spoke of moral declines. The Roman system was prepared for these rabble. As long as the people were generally comfortable and busy and, of course, divided, the local courts and their judges and centurions could handle the riffraff and rebels that resist the progress of society and liberal morals.
The Rulers and Caesars of the world were the protectors of the peace, the benefactors of their welfare systems but they exercised authority one over the other.
There was corruption, as always with a balancing distribution of reform. But as mires will do the more the people struggled the deeper they sank.
2 Peter 2:22 "But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."
Dissolving the social bonds of liberty
Nothing dissolves the bands of a free society and divides the people from each other like the One purse systems of welfare through the socialist state. Many Romans forgot the warnings of Polybius concerning "The masses ... with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force..." which is the essence of legal charity. But the people of Judea also forgot the commandments of God and the warnings of Proverbs 1 about consenting to have "One purse", or those of Proverbs 23 concerning eating the dainties of rulers without a "Knife to thy throat".
Herod, with the apostasy of the Pharisees, instituted their alternative form of social welfare that would no longer strengthen the poor following the ways of Sodom.[6]
A social safety net instituted through the power of the state is not only a "snare" but will divide and weaken the social bonds of society as "The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." They would need to repent of that grievous sin[7] before they could be saved of its consequences.
"His reign gave them a third of a century of peace and prosperity and the new harbor at Caesarea increased trade. But Herod's lavish building programs cost immense sums of money and taxes were necessarily high. By the standards of the time he was not a bad ruler. He was brutal but far less so than the Hasmonaeans. Herod's greatest asset was in fact the very thing for which Jews most criticized him - his half-hearted attitude towards Judaism. Augustus had realized Herod's true value when he gave him Samaria and the coastal strip for although Herod was careful not to offend the Jews he did not oppress the Samaritans and non-Jews. A Hasmonaean ruler would certainly have persecuted them and similarly a non-Jewish ruler would have had little sympathy with the Jews."
"Herod's greatest fault was his ungovernable passion both in love and hate. This coupled with his constant fear of losing this throne led to most of his 'crimes' especially those committed within his own family."[8]
Herod entertained and cultivated his relationships to Essene prophets like Menahem, who had predicted his rise to power when he was a boy. There are reports that Herod had even agreed to divide his dominion with the Messiah whose arrival was also expected and prophesied. Herod had been ruthless but even ruthless dictators have their fans. Herod's popularity, though great, was not universal and as economies stumbled the people looked for scapegoats real or imagined.
"As an Idumean he [Herod] was disliked by Judeans; as the usurper of the Hasmoneans he was resented by the aristocracy. During his reign he succeeded in creating his own 'aristocracy' from those loyal to Rome and appointed by himself."[9]
This magical system of prosperity and social welfare was sweet in the mouth but sour in the belly. All things that are too good to be true eventually come to an end and Herod's Great Society and Social Experiment was no exception to the rule.
"Herod was forced to tax the Palestinians beyond their abilities to pay, eventually in many cases seizing others' wealth for himself and reducing many Jewish landlords to tenant farmers (Ant 17.304-9). Property (chrema and ousia are the Greek words employed) was seized; in addition to the taxes, 'tribute' was imposed 'on everyone each year,' and these entailed 'lavish extra contributions' (Ant 16.308)."[10]
Before the end of the century a series of devastating recessions or "dearths"[11] had spread across the Roman Empire. The popularity of Rome, along with its comforts and privilege, diminished as the power over its subject and client states shifted from social benefits to a forced compliance and heavy tribute or taxes. To pay for excesses the power of this created authority would only relent after the people were expended, exhausted and oppressed.
Caesar the god
Augustus Caesar claimed to be a god or at least the Apotheos of Rome. Paul said there are gods many. Once we examine and understand how the term "gods" has been used in history and therefore how it is often meant to be understood in the Bible we can conclude that almost every government is a theocracy of sorts. The difference is who are the gods of your government or is your God the God of heaven?
- "And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar’s."
On the coin was the graven image of the "son of the Divine Augustus" run through the temples of Rome. Octavian was called "Augustus Caesar, the savior of the whole world” by all the people who saw his exercising authority as a solution to the world's problems. He was also called the Father of Rome and the Son of God.
He was also called the Savior of the world of Rome in the minds of many people who believed that his power as Emperor was able to establish “Pease on earth,” with his "Pax Romana".
Evidently, the Pharisees had the coin in their possession. This was a violation of their own laws "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" nor have "any other gods before the God" of heaven.
Octavius' title was not only the Divine Augustus and Patronus but he appointed of the gods of Rome. As one of the head "father on the earth" he could demand tribute from his people as a patrimonial right of Caesar.
The superscription or epigraphe was of Caesar who loaned money into circulation through the temples of Janice and Moneta and taxes were often required to be paid in kind. There was lots of benefits and free bread offered by Caesar's system of welfare but Jesus said it "made the word of God to none effects".
Not of this World
- "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." John 18:36
Was Jesus simply telling Pilate, who was sitting in the judgment seat, “My Kingdom is not a part of your constitution, order, or government and you have no jurisdiction to judge Me or My Kingdom”? When Jesus was born, Augustus Octavius had already been the Emperor of Rome for almost 25 years:
"He [Augustus] was now, to quote his own words, 'master of all things,' and the Roman world looked to him for some permanent settlement of the distracted Empire. His first task was the re-establishment of a regular and constitutional government, such as had not existed since Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon 20 years before.'... At home it was understood that he would, year by year, be elected consul, and enjoy the powers and pre-eminence attached to the chief magistrate [god] of the Roman state. Thus the republic was restored under the presidency and patronage of its 'first citizen' (Princeps Civitatis)."[12]
Most people do not understand that the office of Emperor was an elected position with a ten-year term, requiring an oath of office, and was equivalent to the Commander-in-Chief of the army and navy. He was often elected Principas Civatas or president of Rome. Besides holding those offices he also requested the office of the Apotheos of Rome, which means he was the "appointer of gods". That meant he appointed all the imperial judges or magistrates throughout the Empire, just like the President of the United States, who has also been labeled Apotheos.
The new normal
The new normal always comes as the old normal is passing away. History does repeat itself especially when the people forget the way of righteousness or the secrets of their success and of course believe themselves wise in their own eyes and forget the warnings of their past prophets.
New Deals
The New Deal offered by the policies of Franklin Delano Roosevelt was not that new. In the short term, the New Deal programs helped improve the lives of some people suffering from the events of the economic depression created by the Federal Reserve and the sloth, avarice and ignorance of the people.
In the long run, those programs set a precedent for the federal government to play a key role in the economic and social affairs of the people of a nation. Over time the masses developed an appetite for their "treats and gratuities"[13] the federal system. would continue to grow. They masses would become so accustomed to using force to take from their neighbor through the welfare state that they could no longer see them as covetous practices.
The people become so dependent on the government that the social bonds of a free society will degenerate as the power of that federal government to "take and take" grows and grows with their ever increasing appetite for benefits.
The New Deal of FDR allowed the spirit of democratic socialism to grow in the people until they become "accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others..." Now politicians pandering to the palpable greed and avarice of the people are "uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch."[14]
The real failure of the people was the acceptance of the idea that it was okay to force one class of citizens to give up what they earned or produced so that another could enjoy the fruits of another's labor. This single act of society and willingness to justify that covetousness of the people altered the soul of society. This ushered in the welfare state where people like Cloward and Piven could work their mischief of destruction of the social virtues of society among the people.
Judea had followed the political and socialist pattern of Rome enticed by the covetous favor and support of the people and gain power over the same by those workers of iniquity. Herod had created his new deal of social welfare through such government support. Membership of the Jew required baptism and the people with a registered Hebrew name to guarantee their eligibility for benefits and to keep track of their required and compelled contributions.
Old deals - Bad deals
The New Deal was the old deal that was used by Nimrod to bring the people into the bondage of Babylon.
Christ directed that the Church and State should be separate especially if the state becomes a socialist state like Rome under the Caesars and the US under men like FDR and the New Deal.
The Kingdom of God was a system to set the captive free called the way. It operated in faith, hope, and charity as John the Baptist preached with Jesus rather than the system of iniquity which use force, fear and fealty of Cain, Nimrod, Pharaoh, Caesar, and FDR.
Micah and all the Prophets warned us of the transgression of Jacob. There is a difference between Pure Religion and Public religion which is false religion. Jesus was not a socialist and did not want his followers praying to the fathers of the earth nor the Benefactors of the world for our daily bread. The Early Church had a daily ministration because those early Christians were doers of the word of Christ by doing what he commanded.
We need to repent of biting one another through the covetous practices of the world and live by the flesh and blood of Christ.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Franklin Delano Roosevelt or FDR (January 30, 1882 – April 12, 1945), was an American political leader and the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. A democratic socialist, he won four presidential elections and became a central figure in world events during the first half of the 20th century. Hitler was a democratic socialist as well and clarified the 25 points of Hitler.
Roosevelt directed the federal government during most of the Great Depression, implementing his New Deal domestic agenda in response to the worst economic crisis in U.S. history.
As a dominant leader of the Democrat party, he redesigned the world of American politics, economics, government, and society itself. He realigned and defined American liberalism throughout the middle third of the 20th century.
"In the early 1930s, as part of a series of measures designed to implement the Roosevelt Administration’s overhaul of American monetary policy, Congress withdrew gold from circulation and banned nearly all private ownership of it." [17]
Lycurgus
This had been done to some degree almost 2600 years earlier by men of greed and ignorance.
Lycurgus, the lawgiver, put into Sparta’s constitution a provision that banned the circulation and possession of gold, silver, or other precious metals as a means of transacting business and replaced these forms of money with an iron currency.
Plutarch 600 years later like modern progressives set to work reforming the currency. In Plutarch’s Lives of Noble Grecians and Romans we read that Lycurgus:
- "Not content with this [land reform], he resolved to make a division of their moveables too, that there might be no odious distinction or inequality left amongst them; but finding that it would be very dangerous to go about it openly, he took another course, and defeated their avarice by the following stratagem: he commanded that all gold and silver coin should be called in, and only a sort of money made of iron should be current..."
FDR and Plutarch’s idea of taking all the substance of the nation into a common treasury and issuing iron coins was clearly not Biblical.[18] Such schemes have historically been disastrous, besides contributing to the bondage of people like they were in Egypt. Jesus desires that we be free from all deception, debt, and bondage."

Lack of knowledge
The problem goes much deeper than our lack of understanding of terms like Republic and Democracy, Citizen or Employ.
We have become a society where we are Biting one another in a thousand ways to obtain those Benefits at the expense of our neighbor through the Benefactors of a World we created with our own hands. It is through these Covetous Practices that we have lost access to the enjoyment of our rights and become little more than Merchandise or pawns in a world scheme of control. The table of civil benefits provided by men who exercise authority one over the other which should have been for our welfare has become a snare. We have been devoured by our own appetite and through Covetousness.
Many warned of these practices from Polybius to John the Baptist and the Prophets and Apostles of Christ himself. While some today may try to avoid the benefits in order to claim their freedom they do little to become benefactors of society who exercise Charity like some nations and people of the past. They remain Slothful and therefore should be under Tribute.
The early Christians were not like Modern Christians but actually were striving to follow what Christ said to do. They were Doers of the word. They did not depend on the Pagan Temples which provided many of the services of that pagan government of Rome. They provided for one another in a living network and attended to the Weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith which include caring for the needs of our neighbors and the widows and orphans of our society through Pure Religion in matters of health, education, and welfare. We are NOT to provide for the needy of society through the Covetous Practices and the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other like the socialists do.
The Way of Christ was like neither the way of the world of Rome nor the governments of the gentiles who depend on those fathers of the earth through force, fear and fealty who deliver the people back in bondage again like they were in Egypt. Christ's ministers and true Christians do not depend upon systems of social welfare that force the contributions of the people like the corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect. Many people have been deceived to go the way of Balaam and the Nicolaitan and out of The Way of Christ and have become workers of iniquity.
The Christian conflict with Rome in the first century Church appointed by Christ was because they would not apply to the fathers of the earth for their free bread but instead relied upon a voluntary network providing a daily ministration to the needy of society through Faith, Hope, and Charity by way of freewill offerings of the people, for the people, and by the people through the perfect law of liberty in Free Assemblies according to the ancient pattern of Tuns or Tens as He commanded.
The modern Christians are in need of repentance.
"Follow me!" —Jesus the Christ.
- One of the most important things to do is to become involved in a network of Charitable Practices. Everyone should want to join a Living Network of Love and Charity.
- If you think you have a calling to be a Minister of God or you might want to dedicate your life to Christ as an Ordained Minister of His Holy Church, contact us to start the process of discipleship and become the benefactors who exercise only love, NOT authority.[19]

Chief Executives
Executive Order 6102 is a United States presidential executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the Hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States". The order was made under the authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, as amended by the Emergency Banking Act the previous month.
The limitation on gold ownership in the U.S. was repealed after President Gerald Ford signed a bill legalizing private ownership of gold coins, bars and certificates by an act of Congress codified in Pub.L. 93–373 which went into effect December 31, 1974.
The Gold Reserve Act of 1934 made the gold clauses unenforceable, and changed the value of gold from $20.67 to $35 per ounce, thereby devaluing the U.S. dollar, as the dollar was gold-based. This price remained in effect until August 15, 1971, when President Richard Nixon announced that the United States would no longer convert dollars to gold at a fixed value, thus abandoning the gold standard for foreign exchange.
The Nixon shock was a series of economic measures undertaken by United States President Richard Nixon in 1971, the most significant of which was the unilateral cancellation of the direct international convertibility of the United States dollar to gold.
While Nixon's actions did not formally abolish the existing Bretton Woods system of international financial exchange, the suspension of one of its key components effectively rendered the Bretton Woods system inoperative. By 1973, the Bretton Woods system was replaced de facto by the current regime based on freely floating fiat currencies.
The private ownership of gold certificates had been legalized in 1964, and they could be openly owned by collectors but are not redeemable in gold. The limitation on gold ownership in the U.S. was repealed after President Gerald Ford signed a bill to "permit United States citizens to purchase, hold, sell, or otherwise deal with gold in the United States or abroad" with a Legal Title by an act of Congress codified in Pub.L. 93–373.[20] which went into effect December 31, 1974. P.L. 93-373 did not repeal the Gold Repeal Joint Resolution 192,[21] which made unlawful any contracts that specified payment in a fixed amount of money as gold or a fixed amount of gold. That is, contracts remained unenforceable if they used gold monetarily rather than as a commodity of trade.
An Act
An Act enacted on Oct. 28, 1977, Pub. L. No. 95-147, § 4(c), 91 Stat. 1227, 1229 (originally codified at 31 U.S.C. § 463 note, re-codified as amended at 31 U.S.C. § 5118(d)(2)) amended the 1933 Joint Resolution and made it clear that parties could again include so-called gold clauses in contracts formed after 1977.[22]
FDR had created a new world. With his Social Security Act, he added United States citizens, or at least their labor, to the reserve fund of the Federal Reserve bringing Americans back to the land of Egypt. Under FDR the people accepted the idea that it was okay to take from one class of citizen or even borrow against our children's future to obtain benefits at the expense of others. To desire those benefits was the "covetous practices" spoken of by Peter. Those gifts, gratuities, and benefits are the wages of unrighteousness which take away or destroy liberty[23] and have snared societies that are willing to eat at the table of rulers, have one purse and engage in wantonness justified by an apostate church that no longer feeds His sheep.
Seeking or ceasing greatness
The practices of the people of America which allowed it to approach greatness was their willingness to care for the needy of their society through charity.
In the 1850's the people and politicians knew that when the, "... ‘public charity’ or ‘legal charity’ (public relief by the welfare state) begins to supplement the private, voluntary charity that was the traditional form of assistance to the poor" there is a degeneration of the masses in society. "And it is here that we confront the ultimate irony of history:the unforeseen and unfortunate consequences of good intentions." Alexis de Tocqueville’s Memoir on Pauperism.
By the 1930's we forgot this ancient wisdom of both prophets and historians of the past]] and with the covetous practices of legal charity the people pursued the degeneration of the masses, sealing the fate of the nation to the process of a decline and fall of America to the dustbin of history. Unless Americans change their thinking and individually again pursue righteousness of those pryor practices of social virtues they will be unable to restore the nation in accordance with the perfect law of liberty.
Without the regeneration of the social bonds of a free society, there will be now defense against tyranny and those forces that would ruin the people.
"That the man who first ruined the Roman people twas he who first gave them treats and gratuities. But this mischief crept secretly and gradually in, and did not openly make it's appearance in Rome for a considerable time." Plutarch's Life of Coriolanus (c. 100 AD.)[24]
A new Caesar
Lyndon Baines Johnson, often referred to by his initials LBJ, was the 36th president of the United States, serving from 1963 to 1969.
- "To not know what occurred before you were born is to forever remain a child."
-Marcus Tullius Cicero
Was Lyndon Baines Johnson a wise or foolish leader, was his policies good or evil?
The Caesars rose to an office of growing power as the people became weak.
While Julius Caesar bribed the people and bought his popularity with gifts, gratuities, and benefits it was Augustus Caesar who nailed the coffin shut on the once great republic spreading his legal charity amongst the people in the form of free bread.
Did the policies of Lyndon Baines Johnson insure the self-destruction of the United States by steadily undermining the soul of America?
Historians like Polybius would emphatically say yes. Plutarch would also agree along with many prophets of the past.
- "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy." Ezekiel 16:49
LBJ had previously served as the 37th vice president from 1961 to 1963 under President John F. Kennedy. Johnson's presidency began following the assassination of President Kennedy.
A Democrat from Texas, Johnson also served as a U.S. representative, U.S. senator and the Senate's majority leader. Johnson holds distinction as being one of the few presidents who served in all elected offices at the federal level.
Born in a farmhouse in Stonewall, Texas to a local political family, Johnson worked as a high school teacher and a congressional aide before winning election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1937. Johnson won election to the United States Senate from Texas in 1948 after narrowly winning the Democratic Party's nomination. He was appointed to the position of Senate Majority Whip in 1951. He became the Senate Democratic leader in 1953 and majority leader in 1954.
Johnston had developed a reputation for his domineering personality. Johnson being over six feet tall, used his physical stature to aggressively coerce powerful politicians to advance legislation, this behavior became known as the "Johnson Treatment".
None of this tells us what is most important to know about Johnson and the havoc he was to wreak upon America.
Alexis de Tocqueville's opinion about the social effects of legal charity or reading Thomas Sowell would make it clear how the welfare state degenerates the character of the people which is needed for the social bonds of a free society. But few study such wise men anymore and if they did we must ask if they have the eyes to see and ears to hear?
Great Society
President Johnson's domestic policy was aimed to create programs that would expand civil rights, public broadcasting, Medicare, Medicaid, aid to education and the arts, urban and rural development, and public services of all shapes and sizes.
In other words a welfare state. His social safety net would be a snare that would not only addict people to the Democratic Party and its promise of more and more free stuff. Eventually, Cloward and Piven would use the Roots of the Welfare State to push the whole of society toward a communist state.
Johnson coined the term the "Great Society" in 1964 to describe these efforts. In addition, Johnson sought to create better living conditions for low income Americans. Johnson himself growing up in an impoverished household in Texas solidified his yearning for power and wealth by making the unreal promise to end poverty in the United States.
He spearheaded a campaign unofficially called the "War on Poverty". Assisted by a strong economy, the War on Poverty helped millions of Americans rise above the poverty line during his administration.
Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965 and gradually moved African-Americans towards the Democrats. He signed the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. Johnson's presidency marked the peak of modern progressive liberalism in the United States and opened the door to activists like Cloward and Piven.
Karl Marx knew that democracy leads to socialism which empowers the followers of communism while weakening the people as the masses develop an appetite for their "gifts, gratuities and benefits" which destroy liberty. [25]
Like FDR and his New Deal and its socialist agenda LBJ set America far down the road to the modern welfare state. With a little knowledge of history we should have seen the canary in the coal mine that foretold the doom and damnation in-store for America with the promise of welfare and social security through legal charity and at the expense of our neighbor which would curse our children.
Old Deal
The "New Deal labor and industrial policies did not lift the economy out of the Depression as President Roosevelt and his economic planners had hoped", but it's "... policies are an important contributing factor to the persistence of the Great Depression" because it was not until the "abandonment of these policies" that a "strong economic recovery" began.[26] Many criticized the New Deal economic policies, but the effect of social condition might - and the relationship between citizen and government may - be even more damning. There had been a major shift from individualism to collectivism with the dramatic expansion of the welfare state and a corresponding dictatorship through regulation of the economy.
His New Deal was not that new. It was as old as Cain, Nimrod, Pharaoh, and Caesar. But those who do not learn from History are doomed to repeat its errors and fall into the snares of Babylon.
- Lycurgus, according to Plutarch, forbade the use of gold and silver as money. He called in all gold and silver, in order to "defeat greed" but not the greed for power. By producing money called pelanors, which was intrinsically worthless, he took away true individual freedom. What some call obeloi or pelanors were thin rods apparently made of iron which had been weakened by being cooled in a vinegar bath after being turned red-hot.
- Hitler too was more than willing to leave the gold standard behind. The German Federal Reserve had not been idle in their economy. " We had a good reason why we distanced ourselves from the gold standard." Adolf Hitler: Speech of November 8, 1942. Domarus Hitler's words were prophetic concerning World War II when he said: "The gold standard will not emerge victorious from this war." [27] Not only did Hitler oppose gold in the hands of the individual; he knew its absence fed the power of the state to collectivize the labor of the People. “Our opponents have not yet understood our system. We can be easy in our minds on that subject; they’ll have terrible crises once the war is over. During that time, we’ll be building a solid State, proof against crises, and without an ounce of gold behind it. Anyone who sells above the set prices, let him be marched off into a concentration camp! That’s the bastion of money. There’s no other way. The egoist doesn’t care about the public interest. He fills his pockets, and sneaks off abroad with his foreign currency. One cannot establish a money’s solidity on the good sense of the citizens.”[28] This was the Babylonian bondage of Egypt, the golden calf, Rome, Nimrod and Cain all over again.
Today, in this brave new world, "The masses continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence; [29] and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder,[30] until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." [31] Polybius saw the downfall of the republic a 150 years before the first Emperor of Rome and 175 years before the birth of Jesus Christ and John the Baptist.

- "That the man who first ruined the Roman people twas he who first gave them treats and gratuities. But this mischief crept secretly and gradually in, and did not openly make it's appearance in Rome for a considerable time." Plutarch's Life of Coriolanus (c. 100 AD.) This would include Julius Caesar and eventually Augustus Caesar which is why Plutarch also reported, “The real destroyers of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations, and benefits.” This was a major theme of the Bible:
- There were tables of welfare which were both snares and a traps as David and Paul stated and Peter warned would make us merchandise and curse children. Proverbs 23 told us not to not eat the "dainties" offered at those tables of Rulers and Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10 we cannot eat of those tables and the table of the Lord. We are not to consent to their covetous systems of One purse or Corban which makes the word of God to none effect.
- We know when the masses become accustomed to those benefits of legal charity which are the rewards of unrighteousness provided by benefactors who exercise authority and the Fathers of the earth through the covetous practices that makes men merchandise and curse children as a surety for debt.
