Rulers

The Bible often teaches about rulers but the scriptures were to set you free from bondage.

Numerous words are translated into ruler like the Hebrew word sar.[1] But there is also sarar[2]

The words "rule over" in Hebrews 13 come from the Greek word hegeomai[3]specifically means a titular leader and is not the Greek word archon meaning ruler.[4]

The apostles were like princes who were appointed a kingdom but in the sense of servant of the people.

They were not rulers who exercise authority. Nor were they to be like the rulers of the gentiles who called themselves benefactors[5] who offered the masses the free bread of legal charity which was not only a snare but was idolatry.[6]

They were to account for the people as good shepherds care for the flock of God and "feed His sheep" as Christ commanded.

Rulers of old

Rulers like Cain, Nimrod, Pharaoh, or Caesar are good for those are slothful and love the wages of unrighteousness for they will ensnare the wicked and punish those who covet[7] their neighbor's goods by taking and taking and taking'".

When the masses develop an appetite for the dainties of rulers they will soon be snared and eventually devoured[8] as they become accustomed to biting one another.[9]

Since we live in a cause and effect universe what we choose to do to others will undoubtedly be done to us.[10]

The people have turned over the power of choice to the ruling judges of the world, which are the gods many Paul spoke of in 1 Corinthians 8:5[11] The unwashed masses have taken then Name of the Lord in vain and have elected rulers who take and take and take[12] and make them merchandise and curse children, who appoint the gods of their world of iniquity and covetous practices which is idolatry.

Their appetite for the dainties of rulers served at the tables by altars of Balaam have been a snare bringing them under the power of many gods.[13]
