Charity is the voluntary giving of help.

Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and Jesus and the early Church advocated a Daily ministration for the needy of the Christian community that was dependent on Charity only and it was not like the system of Corban of the Pharisees nor the free bread of Rome. It was their Pure Religion that brought them into a Christian conflict with Public religion and the Covetous Practices of the World.

Another definition of charity is kindness and tolerance in judging others or relating to one another.

The word translated charity in the Bible is commonly translated love when Christ says it and charity when Paul says it.

Charity is the antithesis of commerce. Christians took care of all the social Welfare of their society. They did this by tending to the Weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith which include caring for the needs of our neighbors and the widows and orphans of our society through Pure Religion in matters of health, education, and welfare. We are NOT to provide for the needy of society through the Covetous Practices and the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other like the socialists do.

The Way of Christ was like neither the way of the world of Rome nor the governments of the gentiles who depend on those fathers of the earth through force, fear and fealty who deliver the people back in bondage again like they were in Egypt. Christ's ministers and true Christians do not depend upon systems of social welfare that force the contributions of the people like the corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect. Many people have been deceived to go the way of Balaam and the Nicolaitan and out of The Way of Christ and have become workers of iniquity.

The Christian conflict with Rome in the first century Church appointed by Christ was because they would not apply to the fathers of the earth for their free bread but instead relied upon a voluntary network providing a daily ministration to the needy of society through Faith, Hope, and Charity by way of freewill offerings of the people, for the people, and by the people through the perfect law of liberty in Free Assemblies according to the ancient pattern of Tuns or Tens as He commanded.

The modern Christians are in need of repentance.

"Follow me!" —Jesus the Christ.

.

This is where the Christian conflict brought persecution. Christians would not apply to men who called themselves Benefactors but exercised authority, even if it meant death. Modern Christians do that in every country even though it is coveting their neighbor's goods and contrary to the instructions of Christ.

Paul and other men of the Church like Barnabas were a part of an international system of charity that collected funds in support of the work of the ministers who were separate from the world, called saints. Those contributions of the people in Galatia[2] were freely and regularly given to support that networking system of charity for the welfare of the whole body of the Church. The word collection in 1 Corinthians 16:1 is the word logia[3] meaning "a collection... of money gathered for the relief of the poor".

What Paul did in Galatia was also done in the same manner of Pure Religion in Macedonia[4] which was all a part of the daily ministration[5] of this Faithful Emergency Ministry Auxiliary called His Church.

Real Christians strive to keep the commandments of Christ because they actually love the real Christ[6] and His doctrines in their pious performance of their duty to God and their fellow man.

So what can we do to preach Christ in word and deed? Practice Fervent Charity.

Do not forsake the gathering together in CORE groups and become doers of the word by joining the Living Network and starting your own First to do List.

Old Testament

The word Charity does not appear in the Old Testament.

Freewill offering appears in the Old Testament[7] is translated from nedabah[8] which really means charity.

The same is true of the shorter word nadab which is absent the letter Hey.[9] which means something willingly offered.

The Hebrew word nedabah הבדנ or Nun Daleth Beit Hey is a feminine noun translated freewill offering 15 times, offerings 9, free offering and freely twice each, as well as willing offering, voluntary offering, plentiful, voluntarily, voluntary, willing, willingly.

It is defined 1) voluntariness, free-will offering

1a) voluntariness
1b) freewill, voluntary, offering

Why were these offerings mentioned so much in the Bible? That was how the nation of Israel supported its government, by faith, hope and charity and the perfect law of liberty.
