The Rapture
The rapture theory appeals to people that want to be saved or think they are saved.
People desire to believe in "the blessed hope" of the idea of a rapture especially a pre tribulation rapture because the idea gives them comfort.
Jesus said a lot of things that are important like forgiving so that we may be forgiven, tending to the weightier matters, loving one another, being doer of the word, and not a forgetfull hearer and of course "keep my commandments' which includes not coveting your neighbors goods especially through governments that exercise authority one over the other but offer to be your benefactors at the expense of your neighbor through covetous practices.
The word rapture
He said little to nothing about a "rapture" and never even mentioned the word. Yes there is a Latin word found in translation but we should always look at the whole context of Scripture and consult the logos of God through the Holy Spirit.
We need to be willing to question what people say the Bible means!
Verses
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
The word for caught up in the Greek is harpagēsometha from harpázō[1] meaning "seize by force; snatch up, suddenly and decisively – like someone seizing bounty (spoil, a prize); to take by an open display of force (i.e. not covertly or secretly)." The Latin translation of this this same word in verse 17 is from the verb rapturo. In the Vulgate we see "Rapiemur" which is the "first-person plural future passive indicative of rapid.
Many other verses are gleaned from Scripture and inserted to create an elaborate scenario and doctrine.

Revelation 9:6

Preparing for tribulation
The way to prepare for tribulation is to repent and seek the kingdom of God AND His righteousness.
That means not following those "ear tickling" preachers who offer the doctrines of men as a false comfort and often at the same time through a failure to teach the whole Gospel justify an appetite for the wages of unrighteousness.
Do not listen to those who fail to teach that you should follow the way of Christ and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.
The Way to saving yourself is not found in your ideology nor any other doctrines of men but in our coming together in the name of Christ.
That does not mean saying you love Jesus or claiming that you believe or love Him nor even in merely calling him Lord. Coming in His Name means Coming to serve and save others and not to just serve and save yourself.

The essential temptation
The rapture is often taught and believed in modern Christianity today.
Preachers, books, and movies perpetuate themes around this popular doctrine that essentially teaches Christ will come back twice, first coming only into the atmosphere to snatch believers away to heaven for several years; then actually returning to set foot on the earth.
But you cannot afford to neglect your personal responsibility to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteous including the whole truth of His teachings rather than the private interpretation of some and wishful thinking.
If we are willing to take a careful look at the Bible objectively we may see that thel theory doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
The rapture was popularized in the 1970s by Hal Lindsey book "The Late Great Planet Earth" and "Left Behind' a fictional book and films.
The origin theory of the rapture is generally given to John Nelson Darby, a 19th-century theologian.
Behind the hope
Behind the hope of the easy out of the rapture we will find a neglect of the weightier matters and the righteousness of The Way.
What are we saved by?
Certainly everyone who says Lord, lord are not saved.
We know many will think they are saved but Christ will call them workers of iniquity.
And we know many people will be under a strong delusion.
Even many of those who think they are born again will not have the love of the light but will often be engaged in the deeds of the Nicolaitan which God hates.
And then there are the covetous practices which will make us merchandise and curse children, even returning us to the bondage of Egypt and the way of the world.
Other opinions
"Is the pre tribulation a false teaching leaving the church unprepared for the coming tribulation and persecution." Zac Poonen.
preachers like Jack Hass and John MacArthur teach the "rapture". But where did it really get started?
John Piper. David Pawson and other preachers do not believe it to be true.
We were told that the church is going to go through persecutions because of the Christian conflict with the world and there will be the tribulation that will be the cause of many falling away.
From the [[early Church all the way back to Noah all still went through the storm.
The Israelites walked the way of the waddy until they were trapped between the Red Sea and the armies of Pharaoh. Even Daniel was protected in the lions den but still faced danger.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were protected in the fire but they had to walk into the flames.
It was taught originally by John Nelson Darby of the Plymouth Brethren movement who taught this doctrine of men. But the real question is what did they fail to teach?

Who is the enemy? No enemy has been defeated without first knowing who the enemy is, so who is the enemy? Is the enemy a cabal of elite and powerful bankers, politicians, businessmen and royalty conspiring to implement a new world order? No. The real enemy is us. Not the devil, not the bankers, not governments because the devil, bankers and governments do not have any power other than what we give them. We are the enemy because of the larceny in our own hearts. This week's discussion focuses on a series of emails that were being passed around on the HHC New York group talking about identifying the enemy. Gregory also touches on the current events of the day: comet Elenin and other geologic and celestial events. Hadar in Minnesota calls in with questions about Elenin and the theory of a rapture. Richard from Florida calls in and asks about "Universal Restoration". Dee in California's gold country calls in about the great tribulation and how God allows Satan to do his thing. Mark in Texas calls in to comment on the new audio system used to broadcast the Keys of the Kingdom.
Money Audio ...adar in Minnesota calls in with questions about Elenin and the theory of a rapture. Richard from Florida calls in and asks about "Universal Restoration".
- Where do you stand on the rapture?
These are doctrines and words associated with doctrines that are the result of private interpretations. So if we assume the Bible is correct we would have to accept 2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. If we are going to be His Church meaning Christ's Church we need to be careful we do not divide the people with our private interpretation of what He said.
Is their a doctrinal standard?
Christ is our only source of doctrines. Each individual must strive to determine His Doctrines working out their salvation with fear and trembling. The Doctrines of Christ are the foundation of all doctrines of His Church? Every thing that men may add must be measured by the basic doctrines of Christ and the Holy Spirit guiding each individual. If there is to be order let it be based on His words, Spirit, forgiveness, love, charity and hope.
Many Churches are more concerned about their private interpretation than they are about being doers of the word, what Christ actually said to do, like tending to the Weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith which include caring for the needs of our neighbors and the widows and orphans of our society through Pure Religion in matters of health, education, and welfare. We are NOT to provide for the needy of society through the Covetous Practices and the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other like the socialists do.
The Way of Christ was like neither the way of the world of Rome nor the governments of the gentiles who depend on those fathers of the earth through force, fear and fealty who deliver the people back in bondage again like they were in Egypt. Christ's ministers and true Christians do not depend upon systems of social welfare that force the contributions of the people like the corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect. Many people have been deceived to go the way of Balaam and the Nicolaitan and out of The Way of Christ and have become workers of iniquity.
The Christian conflict with Rome in the first century Church appointed by Christ was because they would not apply to the fathers of the earth for their free bread but instead relied upon a voluntary network providing a daily ministration to the needy of society through Faith, Hope, and Charity by way of freewill offerings of the people, for the people, and by the people through the perfect law of liberty in Free Assemblies according to the ancient pattern of Tuns or Tens as He commanded.
The modern Christians are in need of repentance.

- One of the most important things to do is to become involved in a network of Charitable Practices. Everyone should want to join a Living Network of Love and Charity.
