When and where should we give?
We get requests for help all the time from people who get access to us through the Internet or broadcasts.
There are also people that have heard about us or read about us for years or even meet with us a few times, but they do not join a known free assembly or congregation. Such free CORE assemblies have given us some testimony in word and deed that they are actually seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Even when they let us know they need help, their first request is for aid or assistance rather than an expression of a desire to join a congregation to aid others. To gather in the name of Christ is to gather for his purposes. That would require that you be a doer of the word.
http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/Why_we_gather
But can we or should we help those who choose not to gather with us?
Of course we know that there is always the sacrifice of the Red Heifer which was for those who did not gather with us, but where do we draw the line?
Would we be strengthening the poor if we help people that give no reason to believe that they are seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness?
Just saying "LORD, LORD" or that you claim to believe in Jesus would not meet the standards established by the His doctrines. [1]
These standards should apply to individuals, ministers and missionaries.
Just because someone gives to charity or does charitable work does not mean they are strengthening the poor.[2]
From The Rod:
- Proverbs 13:24 is a part of a list and is preceded by Proverbs 13:23 "Much food [is in] the tillage of the poor: but there is [that is] destroyed for want of judgment."
- This is a reference to the precept that was the sin of Sodom which is mentioned in Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."
- Giving without judgment weakens and even destroys people.[3]
There are lots of articles and books about how charity in many of these countries is not a good thing.
How is the "war on poverty" working out here in America?
Are missionaries in Africa and other third world countries doing any better?
Are these so-called Christian ministers and missionaries really preaching gospel of the kingdom of God?
Or are they taking the Lord's name in vain as workers of iniquity because thy are under a strong delusion?
Are they seeking the kingdom of God or the Corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect?
The way many of these missions work is that the money donated goes to care for the missionaries and their families who can live relatively inexpensively in Africa or other poor nations. But those contributions also are used to pay into social security systems that are based in covetous practices and depend on men who call themselves Benefactors but exercise authority one over the other. We are told not to partake with such people.[4]
The early Church was persecuted because they would not partake of the systems of welfare offered by the world. Many of these modern Christians, their ministers and missionaries eat of the altars of the world.[5]
The contributions are also used to build a private fund based on the MISSIONARY WORKING AGREEMENT FUND that will provide the missionary with a good retirement. We have seen the same thing in companies like the American Missionary Fellowship.
Some of the funds also go to the home office to support them. I am not saying that poor people are not given assistance, but is that assistance really strengthening them in The Way of Christ?
The work they do does provide great photo ops so that raising funds becomes easier but, is their way The Way of Christ.
There is also the temptation of an ego treasury where a person gets great mental satisfaction from being the savior of the "poor poor people".
What do the poor really need?
What do the ministers who claim Christ really need to do?
Told from the beginning
- We were told from the beginning that the slothful shall be under tribute and that through "covetous practices" we would be made "merchandise" and would curse our children as a 'surety' for debt in a snare, being entangled in a yoke of bondage under the taxation of the world.
- There are few more covetous practices than socialism and the world has been becoming more and more socialist every year. The modern Christian and their Churches are in conflict with Christ and His Church because they are biting one another, serving the Fathers of the earth, and praying to the Benefactors who are exercising authority over one another.
- Christ commanded we turn away from the covetous practices of the world to a daily ministration of sacrifice through faith, hope, and charity like the early Church rather than the ways of force, fear, and fealty of the world of Cain, Nimrod, Pharaoh, the Pharisees, and Caesar.
- The modern Christian has pursued the same Corban of social welfare which made the word of God to none effect like the Pharisees did. Since they have abandoned The Way of the early Church for the wages of unrighteousness becoming workers of iniquity they need to be subject to tribute.
- Those who come to seek and to save that which was lost do not desire simply to be separate from the benefits, the iniquitous ways and covetous practices of the world. They choose to come together as Christ commanded to serve others by laying down their lives for their neighbors, providing for a daily ministration through the Charitable practices in the sacrifice we see in the early Church.
- If those claiming to be believers and followers of the Christ are not gathering to regularly and freely give and forgive to those near and far, there is no grace nor righteousness.
- Such people are not the children of God nor the servants of Yahweh. They remain slothful workers of iniquity that are fit only to be turned way and shut out like the foolish virgins, for they will Not inherit the kingdom.
When looking for a denomination or Church, just ask:
Where is your religion
- Where do you find the Daily ministration of the early Church, the Pure Religion of James and the Corban of Jesus?
- Are you following The Blessed Strategy of Christ like the Early Christians?
- Are you following The Way through Love of one another or the way of the world and the Fathers of the earth?
- Do you seek the benefits of bankrupt nations, or do you forgive and seek the benefits of Christ's appointed Kingdom?
- Do you only gather for the comfort it gives you, or do you gather to benefit others?
- Christ came to serve, not be served. Do you desire to be served, or are you coming in His name and according to His character to serve others?
If we desire His Grace but we only love those who love us, then there is no Grace because it is clear we do not really believe in Him.
If we do not Repent of our Covetous Practices and are not diligently gathering together in Free Assemblies of Love for all to provide for one another in Charity according to the Perfect law of liberty then we have nothing according to Paul. According to Luke 6:32 if we only love those who love us there is no "Grace". Christ also said if you do not Forgive neither will the Father forgive you.[7]
It is not enough to hate the deeds of the workers of iniquity, but we must return to Thy first love and thy first work. To break the yoke, we need to return to the ways of righteousness spoken of in Isaiah 58 which are the ways of Christ and the early Church. And His yoke is light for it is carried by our love of one another.
Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and Christ all created Networks of charity to care for the true needy of society without force which is how they were able to help set people free. Do you gather with His Church to attend to the Weightier matters as Christ said?
- Are you gathering in a Network of righteousness?
- Do you come to love others or just be loved?
- Are your Congregations' gatherings fruitful enough so that no one has to pray to Benefactors who exercise authority one over the other?
- Does anyone in your Free Assemblies have to apply to the Fathers of the earth, or seek their many benefits?
Early Christians found themselves in conflict with these systems of social welfare because they made the word of God to none effect. Christians had repented of their covetous nature when they received the Baptism of Christ. They heard and became Doers of the word not hearers only.
Remember Proverbs 12:24, "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the Slothful shall be under Tribute."
We know that liberty under God is not for the covetous who are Biting one another but it is also not for the slothful. If we are not congregating together in free assemblies bound together in a broad network by faith, hope, and charity alone according to the perfect law of liberty then we are not truly seeking the Kingdom of God nor His righteousness.
