When asked what is the greatest commandment.^[1]

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."Matthew 22:37

People think they love everyone because they say they do. It is true that loving others is loving loving GOD. But do we love others?

Do you know people love the Lord because they say they love the Lord or because they keep the commandments?

Do they love their neighbor as themselves?

There are a number of quotes from the Bible that suggests that just because we say we love our neighbor and love God that those words do not make it so.

People imagine that confessing the lord with their mouth overcomes their works of iniquity. Jesus makes it clear that if you love Him you will keep His commandments. ^[2]
