The word thanksgiving appears 9 times[1] in the New Testament of the Bible.

The Greek word is eucharistia[2] which also translated giving of thanks 3 times, thanks twice and thankfulness. The word we know as Eucharist means thanksgiving and it is from two word eu[3] which means well doing and charizomai [4] which means forgive, give, freely give.
