Doctrinal statement

A Doctrinal statement of any group that claims they are following Jesus as the Christ or that they are a part of His Church should include the Doctrines of Jesus. They certainly should not contradict or undermine those original teachings. Almost everything written is subject to some interpretation because of the nature of words and phrase and preconceived notion or perception concerning this controversial subject.

Below is just one such doctrinal statements.

Comments
While the Bible provides an inerrant and absolutely authoritative propositional knowledge[1] of God the people who read it and even study it are not inerrant.[2]. As Propositional knowledge the Bible presents an expression of meaningful thought through an abstract representation of the knowledge of God through words, or images through description using allegories, metaphors, and parables as well as direct and indirect statements over a long period of time through the writings of numerous authors which appear to describe what can be called Divine will. As an inspired work of God written by those writers to understand their message the reader will also need to be inspired by the same Holy Spirit and not merely depend upon their ownprivate interpretation of what is before them.
The nature of God as one common Creator is personified as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit which are in a perpetual singularity and has been called the trinity by people. Terms like worship and obedience are dummarised in conformity to the Son and His doctrines.[3]
Resurrection of Jesus Christ like redemption is not a product of the created but an act of grace by the creator and a continuation of that Divine will that through His Holy Spirit may enter into those who are true believers.
The domestic relationship of one man and one woman as Husband and Wife for the procreation of a family is an institution of God from the beginning which has been called Holy Matrimony.

The Word of God

The Bible is God’s special self-revelation, which is limited in space and time and are directed to various designated individuals (2 Peter 1:21 ). The accepted writings that make up the Bible are the 39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books without any of the additional writings commonly known as the Apocrypha. The Bible provides the only inerrant and absolutely authoritative propositional knowledge of God that exists.

Monotheism & the Trinity

There is but one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4), an infinite, all-knowing Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14), each equally deserving worship and obedience.

The Deity of Christ

Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, possesses all the divine excellencies, and in these, He is coequal, consubstantial, and coeternal with the Father (John 10:30; John 14:9).

The Resurrection

In the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, God confirmed the deity of His Son and gave proof that God has accepted the atoning work of Christ on the cross. Jesus’ bodily resurrection is also the guarantee of a future resurrection life for all believers (John 5:26-29; 14:19; Romans 1:4; 4:25; 6:5-10; 1 Corinthians 15:20, 23).

Salvation by Grace Alone

Salvation is wholly of God by grace because of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not based on human merit or works (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19.

Marriage

A Biblical marriage consists only of a heterosexual union between one biological male and one biological female.

Men and Women’s roles in the Church and home

The Christian Podcast Community affirms the Biblical roles of men and women. Men and women are created as equal image-bearers of God, for complementary roles. Pastors and elders, according to Scripture, are to be qualified men.

Husbands are to be servant leaders in the home, and wives are called to voluntary submission to their own husbands.

We oppose egalitarianism.[4]

This doctrinal statement was quoted from Striving for eternity[5]

  1. Propositional knowledge is also known as descriptive knowledge or "declarative knowledge". Propositional knowledge is defined as the abstract representation of knowledge, words, or images. Propositions are the smallest units of meaningful thought, and knowledge is represented as a series of propositional statements or as a network of interconnected propositions. In epistemology,
  2. inerrant as an "adjective; incapable of being wrong."
  3. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
    Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
  4. egalitarianism is "the doctrine that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities."
