Gregory grew up along Simms Bayou in Houston Texas during the cold war and was taught to duck-and-cover in parochial school, saw bomb shelters sold in the maul but the world was just a curious place to that often sickly precocious child who did not do particular well in school at first.
Dyslexia made reading a struggle until words became symbols of ideas. He sought understand the why, the cause, purpose, and effect eventually excelling in science until he entered St Joseph's College Seminary at 13 where doctrines, religious theologies, and ideology created a new world with more and more questions. What is the truth? The world was a mysterious place full of wonders and fascination but the people who wondered through his life became sources of confirmation. Understanding that there is a limit to rationality alone because it can never lead us to grasp the essence of life itself. The journey is the destination and the right question is the answer. The kingdom of God and His righteousness is the great puzzle of the universe and the mystery of eternal life. Its pieces fit best together when we do not force them into place. |
