Augustus Caesar was the Sister or Savior of the Roman Empire. As the Father of Rome and head of the Roman Welfare State, a.k.a. public religion, he provide free bread through his government temples.
inscribed a long record on to recieved his benefaction the people had to take oaths of consent that he was the "Son of God" which included the Office of Apotheos of Rome and it's judiciary.

Caesar and Jesus were both called Savior and Son of God. Caesar was also called the Father of the people but Jesus said call no man on. earth Father. The different in their methods and the outcomes are at the core of the Christian conflict with Rome and the conflict today with the Doctrines of Jesus and the Modern Christians.

Saviors

Σωτῆρος Sōtēros is the Greek word for saviour.

The word sōtēros in Greek is the word that the people of the Roman Empire applied to Octavius when he became the first Emperor of the Rome. Octavius was also called "Augustus Caesar, the savior of the whole world.”[1]

Augustus would bestow gifts on the Greek people and build a Temple of Roma on the Acropolis aligned with the Parthenon of Athens in 19 AD. This granting of gifts, gratuities and benefits was not just to convince the people of his unbiased benefaction but create a dependence and loyalty among the masses. Herod did the same in Judea. [2]

The temple was a symbol of a divine office of Caesar as the head of the Imperial Cult of Rome which was the center of the Public religion of the Empire and its social welfare State.

These buildings were monuments to their propaganda which caused the people to hail the once humble Octavius as the now divine "Augusts Soter"[3] meaning “savior of the world”.

He was the Savior of the world of Rome and with his power as Emperor he was able to establish his “Peace on earth,” with his "Pax Romana". He had coins minted with his head on them which were loaned into circulation.

He also set up a system of social welfare through the state run temples.

The free bread of Rome was the Qorban of Caesar, the Son of God, the Savior of the masses, or so the wanted to believe.

The other Savior

Like the Corban of Herod and the Pharisees the temples of Rome were systems of "legal charity" which were the antithesis of the Corban of Christ which based on fervent charity and not Force like what John the Baptist preached against .

Christ was a different kind of savior. The table of Christ set the captive free but the table of Caesar made men merchandise and often will curse children with debt because it was a snare baited with deceitfully meats of rulers.

Both Caesar and Jesus

Both Caesar and Jesus were called "saviors".

They were both called Lord and Son of God.

At the end of the first century every Roman citizen yearly appeared before a Roman official and brought incense to pay homage to Caesar by saying, “Caesar es kurios,” which translates “Caesar is Lord.”[4]

Jesus was also called Lord but he warned it was not enough to say Lord, Lord but one needed to be a doer of the Will of God in heaven, which is the will of His Father, the creator, that divine intelligence (right reason) found in the truth of the "I AM".

Both Caesar and Jesus offered social safety nets for the welfare of the people.

They both offered free bread for the needy of society.

They both had ministers or administrators to feed their people.

Fathers of the earth

Caesar was called the "Patronus" or Father of the earth to whom the people prayed to for their daily bread and security while Jesus said to call no man upon the earth father and pray to "Our Father who art in heaven".

The gods many

They both were considered to be gods but that is very misunderstood and miss used.

These gods were judged that could decide good and evil, right and wrong. In Rome they were empowered by the Apotheos who was Augustus Caesar.

The distinction

One operated by fealty, force, and fear and the other operatby faith, freewill offerings and the perfect law of liberty requiring hope.

Christ indeed

"And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world." John 4:42

Christ, meaning the annointed like David who was the king of Israel, and Jesus had been proclaimed as the "highest son of David" and heir to his throne and also proclaimed the rightful "king of Judeans" who were the remnant of [[Israel], which was the kingdom of God.[5]

It has always been a danger to the liberty to eat the dainties at the table of rulers. Christ forbid His Church to be like those men who call themselves benefactors but but who exercise authority one over the other.

Our hope

"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;" 1 Timothy 1:1

Can anyone honestly claim to be a follower of Christ while the eat at the table of Caesar or of any rulers who calls themselves benefactors of the people who exercise authority one over the other to put those dainties of rulers on the welfare of the State?[6]

Our conversation

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:" Philippians 3:20

The phrase "our conversation"[7] is from the Greek word politeuma when Paul reminds the people if Jesus is their king then the "the administration of civil affairs or of a commonwealth" of Christians is in the kingdom of heaven which is one form of government and the laws by which it is administered" is the law of love, not force or "covetous practices" through men who force our neighbor and our brothers to contribute to our social welfare through the civil authority of Caesar and the dainties he offers upon it.

Caesar's world has its own "constitution of a commonwealth, form of government and the laws by which it is administered]] which provides free bread and welfare which offer a table of benefits which are a snare which make the "commonwealth of citizens" human resources and curse children as the surety for dept until all are in a "state" of bondage. Peter, Paul, David and the and all prophets have been giving us warnings from the beginning.

This was the Christian conflict with the world of the "government of Rome" which was not like the "kingdom of God".

A righteous Savior

"Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Grace÷ and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord," 2 Peter 1:1

Saviour of the world

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Jesus was sent by his Father in heaven that the world "might" be saved. His kingdom was not to be of the world of Rome nor were his apostles and ministers to be of that world.

Abiding believers

1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. 19 He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

  1. "Augustus Soter", Line 1 of the inscription on the architrave of the temple of Roma and Augustus, located on the Acropolis.
  2. "The annual Temple-tribute was allowed to be transported to Jerusalem, and the alienation of these funds by the civil magistrates treated as sacrilege. As the Jews objected to bear arms, or march, on the Sabbath, they were freed from military service. On similar grounds, they were not obliged to appear in courts of law on their holy days. Augustus even ordered that, when the public distribution of corn or of money among the citizens fell on a Sabbath, the Jews were to receive their share on the following day. In a similar spirit the Roman authorities confirmed a decree by which the founder of Antioch, Seleucus I. (Nicator),[d Ob.280 B.C.] had granted the Jews the right of citizenship in all the cities of Asia Minor and Syria which he had built, and the privilege of receiving, instead of the oil that was distributed, which their religion forbade them to use, [e Ab. Sar ii. 6] an equivalent in money. [Jos.Ant. xii. 3. 1] These rights were maintained by Vespasian and Titus even after the last Jewish war, notwithstanding the earnest remonstrances of these cities. No wonder, that at the death of Caesar [g 44 B.C.] the Jews of Rome gathered for many nights, waking strange feelings of awe in the city, as they chanted in mournful melodies their Psalms around the pyre on which the body of their benefactor had been burnt, and raised their pathetic dirges." 4. And with each decade, it just increased and increased the veneration of Caesar until it got to the point by the end of the first century every Roman citizen once a year had to appear before a Roman official and bring incense and worship Caesar and say, “Caesar es kurios,” “Caesar is Lord.” And the believers were put in the vice grip, “We cannot say, ‘Caesar is Lord.'” We can only say, “Christos es kurios,” Christ is Lord."
