The Hebrew word ‘abodah consists of the letters Ayin-Beit-Dalet-Hei(הדבע) with the Strong's number 05656 and can be pronounced ab-o-daw’.[1] As a feminine noun it is translated in the Bible as service 96 time, servile 12, work 10, bondage 8 times. It is also translated act, serve, servitude, and tillage twice each, as effect and labour at least once each but also till and dress in Genesis 2.

In some passages, it can mean the labour of servant or slave. That form of bondage could be like that statutory labor we see in systems of corvee. Egypt was a such a system which resulted from a contract with the office of Pharaoh and the parents of Israel during the famine at the time of Joseph. At that point in time the sons of Jacob owed 1/5th of their labor to the Pharaoh for generations after. This was like a 20% income tax. In exchange the government of Pharaoh provided them welfare. They were literally employed by Pharaoh. When Israel was kicked out of Egypt they developed a system of Freewill offerings called Corban.

Before they left that bondage they needed a crash course in The Way of God. God hardened the heart of the pharaoh and the people had to provide for themselves during the plagues of Egypt while still paying their tale of bricks.

Aboda[2] is a word that can mean bondage but is normally translate serve. It is also seen as Abovda or Abowdah (Hebrew: עֲבוֹדָה‎) appears some 263 times in the Bible[3], and is still from a Hebrew word, literally meaning "work".

It is defined as 1) labour, service

1a) labour, work
1b) labour (of servant or slave)
1c) labour, service (of captives or subjects)
1d) service (of God)

It is from the root word abad Ayin-Beit-Dalet (דבע), meaning labour or to work. [4]

It is translated worshippers 5 times

The same word ‘abodah consists of the letters Ayin-Beit-Dalet-Hei(הדבע) but there is also עֲבוֹדָה Abowdah (Avoda, Ayin-Beit-Vav-Dalet-Hei)[5] is still from the root word Ayin-Beit-Dalet, meaning labour or to work. But normally translated service.

  • ע AYIN also U Divine Providence Eye or Well of five states of kindness or severity. [eye, watch]70
  • ב BEIT Purpose: God Dwelling Place Below - from house or God's house here[household, in, into]2
  • ד DALET Selflessness – Charity, back and forth or through a door or pathway, to enter like a fish, 4

Letters commonly added

  • ו VAV Connection Connecting realms and worlds. A veil [nail... And, Add, secure, hook] 6
  • ה HEI Expression--Thought, Speech, Action. Manifest seeds of thought and life. [Emphasize, jubilation, window, fence]5

Adding letters like VAV and HEI adds to and even alters the meaning of a word like work.

The letter Ayin is a letter connected to "Divine Providence Eye" which is revelation by God. it is connected to what was called the "five states of kindness or severity"[6]. Beit meaning a house or household and Delet the path of charity.

The word ‘abowdah signified the work done in the House of God for the purpose of setting the people free and keeping them free souls under God. Their Corban had to be the result of Freewill offerings given to Ministers who strengthened the poor. To provide for the widows and orphans or other needy of society by way of forced offerings from the State was not Pure Religion. In fact to exercise authority in matters that should be directly provided by charity makes the word of God to none effect and is anti-Christ and will lead to the Sin of Sodom, weakening the poor.

Torah, (Torah, avoda, ugemilut chasadim)[the sacrificial, service, and deeds of kindness][7]; the "three things on which the world stands" (Pirkei Avot 1:2)

In a modern context, Abowdah usually refers to business-type activities, it can also mean agricultural work and, more traditionally, serving God. It is the work of worship or the manifestation of worship. If there is no Abowdah our claimed of faith is dead.

In its original, traditional sense, "abodah" was applied to sacrifices offered in Temple in Jerusalem. But the temple was a symbol of spiritual things and spiritual things living in men. We are to be a living temple. Each of us are the stones and bricks of the temple of God. The daily sacrifice is not about killing cows and sheep but about a Daily ministration of Freewill offerings given in faith in the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

The word "abodah" was also used to described the epitome of sacrificial rite, the service of The High Priest on days like Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement). Through Sophistry man has again unmoored the spirit of God from the symbols of His liturgical enactment and decrees.

If people are really seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness then they will be striving daily to bring the stones and bricks of a living temple together in an organized practical way to provide the benefits of society through faith, hope and charity rather than depending on those Benefactors who exercise authority.

Through their daily Sacrifice they shall manifest the Abodah of righteousness and we will not have to ask
Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and Jesus and the early Church advocated a Daily ministration that was dependent on Charity only and it was not like the system of Corban of the Pharisees and Rome.
  • Do you only gather for the comfort it gives you, or do you gather to benefit others?
  • Christ came to serve, not be served. Do you desire to be served or are you coming in His name and according to His character to serve others?

If we desire His Grace but we only love those who love us then there is no Grace because it is clear we do not really believe in Him.

If we do not Repent of our Covetous Practices and are not diligently gathering together in Free Assemblies of Love for all to provide for one another in Charity according to the Perfect law of liberty then we have nothing according to Paul. According to Luke 6:32 if we only love those who love us there is no "Grace". Christ also said if you do not Forgive neither will the Father forgive you.[8]

It is not enough to hate the deeds of the workers of iniquity, but we must return to Thy first love and thy first work. To break the yoke we need to return to the ways of righteousness spoken of in Isaiah 58 which are the ways of Christ and the early Church. And His yoke is light for it is carried by our love of one another.

Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and Christ all created Networks of charity to care for the true needy of society without force which is how they were able to help set people free. Do you gather with His Church to attend to the Weightier matters as Christ said?

  • Are you gathering in a Network of righteousness?
  • Do you come to love others or just be loved?

Early Christians found themselves in conflict with these systems of social welfare because they made the word of God to none effect. Christians had repented of their covetous nature when they received the Baptism of Christ. They heard and became Doers of the word not hearers only.

Remember Proverbs 12:24, "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the Slothful shall be under Tribute."

We know that liberty under God is not for the covetous who are Biting one another but it is also not for the slothful. If we are not congregating together in free assemblies bound together in a broad network by faith, hope, and charity alone according to the perfect law of liberty then we are not truly seeking the Kingdom of God nor His righteousness..
