Double Lamed

Another double letter is the double Lamed.

We see this letter as ל Lamed means Aspiration of the Heart or to learn or even direct like a shepherd. It has to do with what the Hand produces, [hand is די YodDalet] or directs with staff, whip... like the tongue may direct. (Numeric value: 30)

The letter "lamed" is some times seen as a picture of a shepherd's staff and since a shepherd may represent a kind of King or prophet the letter may reference authority or teaching.

A double letter may denote something eternal or perpetual. An example of this is seen in the Hebrew word galal (gimellamedlamed), which means "to roll".[1] Gimel" is representing cause and effect which includes perpetual momentum of continuous action and with a double lamed suggesting that this is in both physical and spiritual realms.

The Hebrew root of “curse”[2] is קלל but there is also another word that is translated curse from the Hebrew word arar[3] with a double Reish. The Hebrew root of “desecrate” is חלל . The only difference between these two roots is their first letter, chet (ח ) and kuf (ק ). Both words end with a double lamed (ל ).

To praise, "halal"[4] we see a window of revelation with the letter "hey." When God is revealed to us, perpetual praise is the result. In keeping with the double "lamed" symbolizing authority, we see the revelation of Him going forth carrying authority.

Isaiah 64:11 "Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised <01984> thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste."

Exodus 20: 25 "And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone[5]: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it."[6]
