Following was sent to Wiki group
We are working to organize the navigation on PreparingYou.
There are lots of great tools to do that at Special:SpecialPages like Special:DeadendPages
I believe that other than Popular heading that the MediaWiki:Sidebar should be the headings of an outline of the whole site.
I think we may need to add additional headings to MediaWiki:Sidebar.
Other than Popular we only have Departments which includes sub-categories
What can we add to Departments and/or what new Heading should we have?
Every page should fit under one of the Headings and sub-categories and be linked to from the MediaWiki:Sidebar so that newcomers can find what they are looking for.
Example:
While Community may fit under Network
And Business could be a sub category of Economy
Where does Bible fit? Where do all the articles fit?
You could put it under Education but I think we need to add some new Categories but I am looking for suggestions.
Example 2:
This page was recently moved over from the old site A_New_Year_For_A_New_Society
Where would we put it in an outline of the site?
I assume it was from Mark, posted by Scott and moved over by Stephanie.
Should it be linked to from Mark's page and what other category?
Do we need a Articles or Features page???
I created a rough outline page Outline_of_site that contains much of my work but where we can organize the site by seeing that everything fits somewhere.
Right now this is mostly my work and there is an Outline_of_site#Other_Heading.3F
Which has a few loose pages. There are many more. Where do we put them.
We need some sort of headings ??? I want to keep church off the front pages. Maybe Community? under which we find News, Systems, Rights, Laws and maybe Church as a subheading to Community or even under Systems which is under Community.

- News
- Systems
- Intentional
- Church
- Laws
- Rights
Once we have the headings we will organize the pages such as Agriculture in an outline form to assist in navigation. Pages like Network are not outline pages but simply Popular.
We will also add Navigation templates to the bottom of each page that will take you back to main pages within that category.
To sum up:
- What additional heading can we add to Popular and Departments?
- What should be listed as sub-categories under that new heading to help navigate the site?
- What addition to Departments should we make?
