Oil in many Scriptures often is used as a a metaphor that can symbolize wealth or abundance, but also health, energy, and life itself.

We see it used from the anointing of kings to the consecrating priests. Again the pouring of oil represents the Holy Spirit coming upon an individual to enable, guide, and bless them with a divine directive and support.
- Leviticus 2:4 "And if thou bring an oblation <07133> of a meat offering baken in the oven, [it shall be] unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. 5 And if thy oblation <07133-Corban> [be] a meat offering [baken] in a pan, it shall be [of] fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil."
