Generations

The dominion of God is the kingdom of God which is from generation to generation.

Lamentations 5:19 "Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation."

Daniel 4:3 "How great [are] his signs! and how mighty [are] his wonders! his kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion [is] from generation to generation."

Daniel 4:34 "And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom [is] from generation to generation:"

Joel 3:20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

Luke 1:50 And his mercy [is] on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Mankind was made man and woman, male and female, to procreate, being fruitful upon the earth. Dominion was given to this union[1] passed down from generation to generation. Noah was perfect in his generations.[2]

The Way of God is the way of faith which is the way of love and charity in righteousness rather than the ways of unrighteousness through the covetous practices of the world which makes men merchandise and is idolatry.[3]

  1. Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
  2. Genesis 6:9 These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God.
  3. Covetousness is idolatry
Colossians 3:5 "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"
Ephesians 5:5 "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God."
1 Corinthians 5:10 "Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."
