Ritual Sacrifice is not Righteousness

• 1 Samuel 15:22 "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD(לַֽיהוָה֙) [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD(יְהוָ֑ה)? Behold, to obey(שְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ šəmōa‘) [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken(לְהַקְשִׁ֖יב ləhaqšîḇ) than the fat of rams."
• Proverbs 21:3 "To do justice and judgment [is] more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice."
• Hosea 4:1 "Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land."
• Hosea 6:6 "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me. 8 Gilead [is] a city of them that work iniquity, [and is] polluted with blood. 9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, [so] the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness. 10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there [is] the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. 11 Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people."
• Ecclesiastes 5:1 "Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil."
• Isaiah 1:11 To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
