Domitian, or Caesar Domitianus Augustus, formerly Titus Flavius Domitianus. He was born Oct. 24, AD 51 and died September 18, AD 96, Rome. He was the emperor from AD 81–96, and known as one of the worst Roman emperors in history. With his narcissism and suspicion he left a reign of terror under which prominent members of the Senate suffered during his last years. Suetonius provided a detailed account of the plot and assassination by Domitian's chamberlain, Parthenius.
