Power To Change

Most of the power exercised by government today, especially the Federal government, is based on contracts between the government and the people. There are both the executed contracts through agreements and applications actually signed by you or your legal guardians as you were growing up, and there are constructive contracts through participation and hypothecation. All these contracts come in a variety of forms and from numerous sources, but most people are completely unaware of or do not understand them.

The Constitution

Many people think the contract between the citizens and the government is the constitution which created the United States. That constitution was not between the people but between the states, which created an additional and external government. The people were not a party to it. However, the people have become a part of the programs and agencies and even some of the corporations of the United States. The people have changed in their relationship to the United States. They have changed by their own actions or inactions the nature of their citizenship. While the constitution has been altered through amendment the real increase in government control and power has come through the constitution's guarantee of your right to make agreements and a system of courts to enforce those agreements with corporate entities and agencies in or on the behalf of the United States.

“That suits in equity shall not be sustained in either of the courts of the United States, in any case where plain, adequate and complete remedy may be had at law.” Sec. 16., Judiciary Act of 1789.

"No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility." Article I, section 10, clause 1.

Congress shall have power... "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes." Article I, Section 8, Clause 3.

Most Americans lived under common law back in 1798 and there were very few benefits of or from the US government, but all the people who have access to a plethora of benefits are heavily regulated today in equity and through that commerce clause.

How did this happen?

The government is not violating the constitutional prohibitions as much as people think or would like to think.

Through their application for benefits they have failed to "retain" their rights because they failed to retain their responsibilities. They have clearly failed to provide for themselves and their posterity, instead, they accepted the idea that they can enrich themselves at the expense of their neighbor with impunity and have become little more than human resources in the process. Bible warnings say they would be trapped, snared and become merchandise.

It is very convenient to blame all of what is happening today, concerning rights, on the government but the truth is we have made serious errors in our own thinking, activities and relationship with government because of a lack of consideration of our neighbor, which, despite what we say in our churches and religious faith, we simply do not love as much as ourselves or the benefits we are obtaining at our neighbor's expense.

There is a maxim of law:

“Protection draws to it subjection; subjection protection”
Protectio trahit subjectionem, subjectio protectionem. Coke, Littl. 65.

“As long as we look to government to solve our problems we will always suffer tyranny.” William Pitt

The Consequences

You have asked the government to protect your family from ignorance, health costs, disability, old age, unemployment, destitution and a thousand other things. You have given the government the power to guarantee all these things by taking from your neighbor and you think you should not be subject????

Your applications for benefits are contracts with the state and the institutions it creates and the motivating spirit behind all this is covetousness...

“A contract is law between the parties having received their consent.”
Consesus facit legem. Consent makes the law… Branch. Prine. Black’s

There is a lot to learn and not much time to do it in... There is a lot to do too.

Most people seem woefully ignorant of how the law works, the different forms of law like natural law, common law, equity etc.

What the constitution was supposed to do, and the fear of what it might be able to do, along with what you need to do to maintain your rights, has long been outside of the conscience of Americans.

Their present state of bondage is the result of hundreds of contracts they and their parents have been signing for more than a century. This present status as subjects, rather than free people, has been a long time in coming and it required that their perception of history be changed. They needed a moral shift in their thinking that allowed them to overlook their failure to be righteous, and their personal indulgence in vice with some justification for what used to be called iniquity, vice or sin.

The Role Public Education Played

Some who would desire to bring the whole world back into bondage have relied on two institutions more than any other, public education and the modern Church. Read more at Schools as Tools.

The Reese Commission uncovered a plan to change "the way Americans viewed history" that began back in 1908 by altering history books and making them available in public and private education at a reduced cost.

At first the changes were subtle but the distraction of two world wars were very useful in this reeducation process.

The acceptance of public education itself was very much a part of that plan too and it was at that time that Americans went from being mostly educated privately to the majority being educated at public expense. Religions that have clearly prohibited the coveting of any thing that was your neighbors turned a blind eye to this moral infraction when it came to education. They idea of taxing your neighbor to provide education become morally accepted and common place despite the repeated warnings

Once they altered the view of history and social norms they could steadily get the people to waive their rights. Some knew this was happening and warned the people, but most did not want to see their fault in the whole matter.

This process and the ignorance of the American people is why US vs. Minker. 350 US,179 p187. states: “Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their rights, due to ignorance.” They still don't want to see their errors and mistakes or their failings and shortcomings. They always want to blame some other group which of course is part of the dialectic that moves people more and more into bondage.

The Covenants of the gods

The process of enslaving the whole nation, and even the whole world level by level, is detailed in a book that can be read free online called, The Covenants of the gods. There are numerous layers to the bondage. The word bondage is not a misnomer, because that is what the people are presently in; and they cannot get out of that bondage with the waive of a pen like those calling themselves "sovereign citizens" will often try to portray.

The Bible is mentioned in the book, but the clear details and references are to the law; the steady progression into serfdom and bondage is documented step by step in the law. Some of the top attorneys in the United States have read some of Brother Gregory's books and pamphlets and agreed with the conclusions.

As an example of content, read the first chapter of the book The covenants of the gods, that demonstrates how a state marriage contract (license) is a three-party contract with the State, giving them jurisdiction over the marriage, the property accumulated and the children produced.

Again, a top attorney who graduated Summa Cum Laude, got the highest score ever on the Bar exam in his day, practiced law in several states, handled international law cases, and also taught law and wrote law books, agreed with everything in that first chapter although he warned that it would not be well received. Why? because it reveals how the law works. And it reveals how the State gets power over the people.

There is no quick fix offered. It took a long time to get here and it will take a long time and a lot of effort to get back, but we are not going to get anywhere with the common dialectic arguments normally seen going back and forth today. It's time to do things differently than before.

Who has ears to hear, Let them hear.
