The word Greek word lawyer appears 9 times in the Bible. we do not see the word lawyer in the old testament but I am sure they had them. The word we see is nomikos [1] and is also translated ' about the law' in Titus 3:9.
They are not held in particular high esteem based on much of the context but not always as we see in Titus 3:13.
