Know Moses

“‭7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? ‭8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.” Matthew 19:7-8

“‭3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? ‭4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. ‭5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. ‭6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. ‭7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; ‭8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. ‭9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Mark 10:3-9

There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:19-31

“‭31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:31

“‭17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17

“‭45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. ‭46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.” John 1:45-46

“‭45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. ‭46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. ‭47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” John 5:45-47

“‭32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. ‭33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.” John 6:32-33

“‭19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? ‭20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? ‭21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. ‭22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. ‭23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? ‭24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:19-24

“‭5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? ‭6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. ‭7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. ‭8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. ‭9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.” John 8:5-9

“‭28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. ‭29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. ‭30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. ‭31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” John 9:28-31
