The word master is often translated in the Bible from the word kurios κύριος with the Strong's number 2962 and pronounced koo’-ree-os. It is from the Greek word kuros (supremacy). As a masculine noun it is translated Lord 667 times, lord 54, master 11, sir 6, Sir 6, misc 4 ways. It is defined as 1) he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord

1a) the possessor and disposer of a thing
1a1) the owner; one who has control of the person, the master
1a2) in the state: the sovereign, prince, chief, the Roman emperor
1b) is a title of honour expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master
1c) this title is given to: God, the Messiah

Other words are also translated master like didaskalos διδάσκαλος Strong's number 1320 pronounced did-as’-kal-os from didasko meaning to teach. The word didaskalos means a teacher.

We also see the word despotes δεσπότης pronounced des-pot’-ace with a strong's number 1203 from posis having the sense of a husband. It is translated Lord 5 times and master 5 times and does mean a master or Lord

This word is also used to produce oikodespotes οἰκοδεσπότης pronounced oy-kod-es-pot’-ace Strong's 3617 and translated householder 4, goodman of the house 4, master of the house 3, goodman 1 and defined simply master of the house, householder.

We also see the word rhabbi ʽραββί pronounced hrab-bee’ Strong's 4461translated Master 9 times when referring to Christ and also 5 times as Rabbi in reference to Christ and three times when not. It said to mean my great one, my honourable sir as a title for a Rabbi.
