Malchut
Sefirot
The sefirot[1] might be understood as God's instruments of emanation of divine energy into the world. Metaphors have been used to give the spiritual pattern form in the world to touch mankind with the light of understanding. Conformity to the Mitzvot (מִצְוָה) magnifies the presence of the sefirot in a positive way but sin, which is turning from the way of the Mitzvot, neutralize its presence in a negative way.
Ten attributes
The ten attributes, or Sefirot, in Kabbalah are:
- Keter (Crow כֶּתֶר), divine will and source,
- Chokhmah (Wisdom חָכְמָה), intuitive revelation,
- Binah (Understanding בִּינָה), discern/Comprehend,
- Chesed (Mercy חֶסֶד), love and kindness,
- Gevurah (Justice גְּבוּרָה), firm judgement,
- Tiferet (Beauty תִּפְאֶרֶת), harmony and balance,
- Netzach (Eternity נֵצַח), endurance and victory,
- Hod (Glory הוֹד), sincere humility
- Yesod (Foundation יְסוֹד), spirit and physical,
- Malchut (Kingship מַמְלָכוּת) word of God.
The tenth and final sefira is called malchut.
Malkuth
Malkuth(מַלְכוּת transliterated as Malḵūṯ meaning "kingdom") is a word associated with the idea of the Kingdom by faith.
While it is manifested in the realm of matter on earth and the physical world, it is also part of the "spiritual" idea of a universal or quantum reality. Malkuth is the emanation of the Tree of Life and therefore an extension of the power of the Holy Spirit.
The tenth sefirah in Kabbalah is the Malkuth.
The Malkuth is said to balances energy between the earthly and spiritual realms; between two completely opposite qualities of the hitnasut, "exaltedness," and the shiflut, "humility". It is seen in the dream of Jacob's ladder Genesis 28.
These attributes represent different aspects of God's interaction with the world and the spiritual structure of creation.
The Tree of life is connected like parts of our body Physically and spiritually. The left and right feet, Hod (הוֹד glory or majesty) and Netzach (נֶצַח Nun (נ), Tzadik (צ), and Chet (ח) mercy which produces "eternity," "perpetuity," "victory," and "endurance" and the ability to persevere ), are connected through the Yesod (יְסוֹד (YodSamechVavDalet) - meaning "foundation") by which the light of gathers in Yesod and is channeled into Malkuth below. It is through Malkuth that the earth is able to interact with the divinity. All these detailed descriptions only have value if accompanied by the Spirit or pattern or character of God.
Any attribute of the Spirit lacking in the individual, the whole body falls short of the malchut or kingdom.
Molech
The word Molech, itself, is cognate to Malchut/kingdom and is merely lacking one or more of the attributes of God for lack of active faith. If one says Lord, Lord but does not persevere in the doing of the word their faith will begin to die.
Seek to blossom
All the attributes of God must unfold in the heart and mind, and in the deeds of body of man as the blossom unfolds in a flower. It is the blossoming or the four fringes of our covering that is key to the Malchut or Kingdom of God. It is the seeking and striving of man not merely for himself but in mercy and care of others that allows God to hear your prayers. It is not the study[2] of the tree of knowledge but submission in humility to the light. It is not the rituals and ceremonies of the unrighteous nor Gnostic vanity of scholars that gives us the knowledge of God.
Judah perverted the seeking of the Malckut. He chose not to be diligent in the ways of Israel but was tempted in the ways of Canaan. He turned aside with a certain Adullamite"(עֲדֻלָּמִ֖י) [3] as we see in Genesis 38.
This would bring upon him the error of Balaam and Edom altering him so that Tamar, who played the harlot, was more righteous than him.
The Malkuth or Kingdom of God are linked to the name Adonai[4] Melekh.
To the Christian the Malkuth is important since Jesus preached that people should "seek first the Kingdom of God" or Malchut.
While the kingdom does not discount knowledge in the sense of Gnosis without the spiritual wisdom of the Holy Spirit being the guiding force, there is no Malcuth. No ritual or ceremonies have the power to bring one into the kingdom nor give you the gnosis or knowledge of God.
