Mark Twain is credited with the quote, "“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” Patriots are people who share a common father. US patriots have Uncle Sam as their common father. The followers of the Christ share a common Father, who art in heaven. Many claim with their mouths and their dogmas to be patriots for the Father in heaven, but their acts and deeds prove otherwise, they're really still patriots of the fathers of the world, the benefactors that exercise authority as a way to punish the wicked that really reject God by rejecting what God said to do. You'll know them by their fruit. Who's your daddy, patriot? If we don't work to come together in the Biblical pattern of tens, hundreds and thousands, bound together only by pure love striving to do the will of the Father in heaven, step by step, choosing it rather, gradually replacing the way of Cain in our own lives with the way of Christ and the Father, then all our patriotic words and songs of praise for the Father in heaven are in vain. These emails groups are a shadow of what could be, the shadow they cast right now is the same shadow that the adversaries of Christ cast, because all the people don't work diligently to come together in the body of Christ to walk in His name and kingdom.
