The phrase one accord is from the Greek adverb homothumadon [1] which is from a compound of homou [2] and thumos.[3]

In the definition of homothumadon it is stated that "Homothumadon is a compound of two words meaning to "rush along" and "in unison"." but thumos commonly translated wrath or fierceness and is from the verb thuo [4] meaning to sacrifice as a burnt offering.

Does the idea of "one accord" mean "rush along" and "in unison" or is it referring to personally sacrificing our own pride and ego and accepting another spirit, a Holy Spirit of Christ ho willingly sacrificed himself for others rather than rule over them so that they might be saved by faith in God and The Way of righteousness?

The apostles came into "one accord" but the wicked people of the "world" could do that. The important thing is to come into "one accord" with Christ and His doctrines and [[Holy Spirit][. Everyone who seeks the "wages of unrighteousness are in discord with Christ.

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord <3661> in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord <3661> in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord <3661> in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Acts 4:24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord <3661>, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord <3661> in Solomon’s porch.
Acts 7:57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord <3661>,
Acts 8:6 And the people with one accord <3661> gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
Acts 12:20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord <3661> to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country.
Acts 15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord <3661>, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Acts 18:12 And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against <3661> Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
Acts 19:29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord <3661> into the theatre.
Romans 15:6 That ye may with one mind <3661> and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We also see the phrase one accord in: Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind.

But that is from the reek word sumpsuchos.[5] which is from two words "sun" meaning together with and "psuchos" meaning soul, self, inner life.

Repentance is a changing of the mind. It is mostly about being humble enough to admit you cannot know good from evil by merely eating of the tree of knowledge. You need to let God work upon your mind and allow him to change it for you.

A unique Greek word, used 10 of its 12 New Testament occurrences in the Book of Acts, helps us understand the uniqueness of the Christian community. Homothumadon is a compound of two words meaning to "rush along" and "in unison". The image is almost musical; a number of notes are sounded which, while different, harmonise in pitch and tone. As the instruments of a great concert under the direction of a concert master, so the Holy Spirit blends together the lives of members of Christ’s church which was including only those who were called out.

This word is made up of two words "sun" (together with) and psuchos (soul, self, inner life, or the seat of the feelings, desires, affections). So the word refers to being united in spirit or harmonious (A&G). Paul desired the Philippians to be united in their affections-one in Christ in all desires! Used only here in the NT. (Wayne Steury)
