"Theonomy, from theos (god) and nomos (law), is a hypothetical Christian form of government in which society is ruled by divine law. Theonomists hold that divine law, particularly the judicial laws of the Old Testament, should be observed by modern societies."

We may need to clarify what the "judicial laws of the Old Testament" really were because the Pharisees had it wrong and most modern Christian don't understand Moses either.

The Essenes read the Torah and had different interpretation of the same text that seemed similar to the Doctrine of Jesus.
