To write something is to record or make a record of something on paper, clay, stone, or some form of physical medium.

Making a record by writing is mentioned over two hundred times in the Od testament which itself is a record written.

The word in the Hebrew is kathab[1]

It is composed of the three letters KafTavBeit.

כ ך KAF K Crown: To Actualize Potential power from spiritual to physical realm [to cover, strength] 20
ת TAV is a Seal of a Higher kingdom or realm. The malchut to the keter (crown) through faith. It links the unseen worlds like a doorway. [sign cross... seal] 400
ב BEIT Purpose: God Dwelling Place Below - from house or God's house here[household, in, into] 2

So to write something is the representation or symbol of Actualizing a power from spiritual to physical realm through a seal of faith for a purpose.
