The La Pietà, marble sculpture by Michelangelo is art. He carved it when he was 23. It is art because it is an expression of the nobility of the soul and the individual's willingness to sacrifice self for others.

The Olympic depiction of the ‘Last Supper’ or "Greek gods", in either case, as a visual scene was not art but a celebration of the selfishness of narcissism, self indulgence, and depravity.
