This portable housing was used by Ed and Barbee. The canvas was purchased through 'northern lavvu' - at lavvu.com - which is made by the Sami tribe. It is still used to follow the reindeer in Lapland in the Scandanavian far north. Because of the way it is set up - with the slant of the poles and the materials used, it can withstand very cold nights, storms, and 80 mi/hour winds. I think Ed proved it out up to 60 mi/hr winds and rain, and even some snow this winter, as he and his wife Barbee camped out in Tennessee.
