The field of blood

Matthew 27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Acts 1:19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Is this a contradiction or is there a bigger story here.

It is common to have more than one reason for something including a having a name.

Moses became the rightful heir to the throne of Egypt and ruler over the people. The term Moses was also used to describe Pharaohs like Tut Moses.

Exodus 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Nehemiah 7:61 And these [were] they which went up [also] from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they [were] of Israel.

Genesis 25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
