Humble
Humble[1] is "having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance." or "of low social, administrative, or political rank."
Synonyms are meek, deferential, respectful, submissive, diffident, self-effacing, unassertive;
True humility is a willingness to put the lives and welfare of others before yourself. It is strengthened by the freewill offering of sacrifice for others in love and charity. The covetous practices of the world lead people to a haughty heart.
- Proverbs 16:18 Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
