The word grace appears almost 160 times in the Bible but it is not always from the same word nor always translated grace.

In the Old Testament the word translated grace commonly is chen[1] and can mean "favour, grace, charm".

There is also tᵉchinnah [2] which can mean "favour, supplication". They both come from chanan[3] which means "to be gracious, show favour, pity".

In the New Testament the word charis [4] which is where we get the word charity.

The word charisis also translated favour[5], thanks[6] and even pleasure[7].

It says in Luke 6:32 "For if ye love them which love you, what thank <grace> have ye? for sinners also love those that love them."

What is being asked is what "grace" do we have if we only love those who love us. The truth is their is no grace if we do not love those who may not love us. This is why Forgiveness is so important.

If you have repented and Christ is in you loving others whether they love you or not is easy. You can do nothing else. It is not about works but it is the manifistation of the fruit of your repentance.

How do you love those who do not love you?

One way is to cast your bread upon the water.[8] There are two ways to do this. The waters in prophecy often represent the people in general.

God's kingdom of heaven is within you as Christ should be in you.[9] But if Christ is in you then you should be acting in accordance with His name. He came to serve so you should be serving others as if you loved them as much as your self.

The kingdom is from generation to generation too.[10] It is not just within you but also within others. So each family coming together[11] shall manifest the kingdom of God with the testimony of what is in their heart.

Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Mark 7:27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. 28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs. 29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. 30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

Isaiah 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
