Hope
Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.
Its early use meant to trust. Hope in Christ means trust in His ways.
To do things in hope is to trust in righteousness and liberty rather than resorting to force to compel action in others.
We see the word hope in Luke 6:34 And if ye lend [to them] of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
