In the Hebrew Bible there are several words translated teacher which can also mean everything from one who learns and teaches[1], or understands[2] to an archer[3] or even someone who scorns.[4] In the New Testament the Greek word which we see as teacher[5] is more often translated master which was a common title for a teacher centuries ago.
