On Acts 17:6 we read, "And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;"
The world had turned upside down a hundred years before. "In 509 B.C. Rome became a republic with permanent tyranny beginning in 31 B.C. under direction of the immortal Julius Caesar.
What changed that tyranny became the way of the world?
What caused the people to degenerate and made the word of God to none effect?

In Psalms 146:9 "The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked[1] he turneth upside down."

The early Church took care of the widows and orphans through pure Religion which is a system of social welfare which was dependent upon faith, hope and charity through the perfect law of liberty.
The world had become accustomed to living at the expense of others through legal charity which like the Corban was making the word of God to none effect.
