Over and over we are told the the kingdom of God is at hand[1]
We were told that it was everlasting and from generation to generation.[2]
We are told that it would be taken from one group of people and appointed to another.[3]
We were told that Jesus was the anointed king, the Messiah and Christ, the highest son of David and the everlasting descendent to that throne for those who claim him as their king.[4]
He was proclaimed king by kings and shepherds, angels and prophets.[5]
We are told that the kingdom is come.[6]
We were told to seek that kingdom. [7]
It was not a particular place but you could eat and drink there while you were on the earth.[8]
We are told that everyone will not just come into the kingdom because they want to. [9]
We were told that John and Jesus and the apostles preached it and we were to do the same.[10]
The kingdom as a real government was taken from the Pharisees by their own words[11] and given to another.[12]
They were appointed the princes of the kingdom but were not rule over the people like the governments of the world of the Gentiles or other nations.[13]
The procurator of Rome, Pontius Pilate, issued a royal proclamation agreeing he was the king of the Jews and would not retract it.[14]
We see these men who were appointed a kingdom by Christ and accepted Jesus as another king[15] taking care of the Daily minstration instead of the governments of the Pharisees which they were cast out of when they received the Baptism of Jesus and professed him as the Anointed.
They were also persecuted by the Roman government and others because they would not sign up for government welfare. This was a major Christian conflict with the governments of the world.
We were told to follow him but people had many excuses why they could not do as Jesus asked.[16]
Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. 21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.
