I'm torn. Not attracted to Liquid Death myself and I totally get the Emoto connection. On the other hand, I love rebellious-type marketing that thumbs its nose at the (BigBiz) status quo. And encouraging kids to choose spring water over Red Bull or Monster seems to be a huge plus. They are also highlighting the hypocrisy of drinking water from plastic bottles. And stealing business from the likes of Coke (Dasani) and Pepsi (Aquafina).
So I wonder if a neutral Emoto-style test is really possible. How much do the thoughts of the testers affect the test? If it's an adult doing the test with no understanding of the Liquid Death brand, the water pattern might harmonize with the technical meaning of the label. On the other hand, if it's a kid doing the test with enthusiasm for the "values" behind the brand, perhaps the test would show some super-interesting snowflake patterns.
Also, does the aluminum can shield the water inside from ANY kind of thinking. It certainly shields it from the negative consequences of exposure to sunlight and artificial lighting from store shelves which, among other things, acidifies the water.
